Main Street Station vs California : Vegas Battle Royale

Main Street Station
Las Vegas Downtown
Blow by blow:

My favorite casino. I wish they would send me offers though and I can't understand why they do not. On my last visit I played there every day, yet I only played at the Fremont once and they sent me an offer for 3 free days.

I stayed here once, but spent all my time at a convention, so I didn't get to appreciate it. I'll be staying again this week (June 2011). I think it beats the Golden Nugget for beauty. Love the buffet! Gorgeous setting, low prices, great food.

Any place I can get free micro brews while gambling at the craps table is all right with me. Taking a drunken piss on the Berlin Wall ain't too shabby as well.

Looks nice, and I won at least $500 from this one ladies hot roll out there. Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

Love the Triple 7 Brew Pub and the general atmosphere of this casino. I'd stay here if I didn't want to stay in a hotel with a pool.

Above average buffet, very friendly atmosphere. $1 micro brewed beer! a brew pub on site with some very good beer. Haven't stayed here, but do enjoy the casino atmosphere.

A cool place to explore and well worth the walk from Fremont to visit this little beauty. We spent an enjoyable hour simply wondering around and locating the antiques Boyd collected from around the world. They provide a brochure map with descriptions of the antique items to those interested. The casino bar with the large bronze boar statue is simply beautiful and has become one of our favorite Vegas spots to sip on a drink and relax. They make their own tasty microbrew beer, have the best buffet downtown and is easy to get to via the enclosed walkway to the larger California casino. A little lacking on the fun-o-meter, but for what it is MSS is a gorgous spot to spend a few hours.

Nice joint! and great food! but I'm not much of a fan of staying in downtown.. Plus, with the large amount of Hawaii folk staying there from the airfare/hotel/meal packages that Boyd Gaming sells through Vacations Hawaii, I choose to stay else where just for the adventure of getting away from life in Hawaii. VP machines on main bar has pretty good paybacks on Double Bonus Poker.

Used to be the Holiday International Casino..
Great Micro Brewery and probally the nicest place Downtown..

The casino isn't that hot (although if you consider it and the Cal one entity it gets better) but value is the name of the game here. And the turn of the century motif is charming.

Not too bad of a place in terms of gaming. The 777 Brewpub has some good beers and the buffet isn't too bad either.

Good place downtown and the micro brews are pretty good. Never have stayed there, but just waiting for the offer.

5 since they give us Hawaiians freebies, along with the rest of the down trodden.

Downtown isn't a spot I frequent much, but when I do go, the California is a required stop. Good hawaiian food, polite dealers, and a legendary craps spot. Can't go wrong here - the rooms aren't that bad either.

My favorite downtown casino, friendly dealers, low limits, mellow customers, good restaurants, always fun

Where we ALWAYS end up after watching March Madness, all of us are in some stage of inebriation. We play cards and throw dice for hours. The record is from 11:00pm to 6:00am...and Rick got us thrown out for spilling too many Jagers. Facker.

Clean, easy access to parking, quiet. it has a large Hawaiin guest following, Price is right, often run room specials.

Crap's is okay, I like the counter but it serves no purpose. I won a little bit over a $100 last time I went here.
