Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino
Las Vegas Off Strip
Blow by blow:

I love the Rio. The rooms are HUGE. and the room prices are pretty cheap most of the time. The pool is on par with any in Las Vegas. The Show in the Sky is great with all the scantily clad ladies and the drink service is great also. Love the Wine Cellar.

Fun Fun Fun! What can you say bad about Mardi Gras? And don't forget the Voodoo Lounge....Fantastic!

I loved the Rio especially the suites. I am the type of person that loves space even though I always go to Vegas alone. The casino was cool also ; they had a few of my favorite games.

I like the casino, the rooms are nice and roomy and coctail service is fair as well.

Rooms were big. I like that! The cocktail waitress uniforms are HOT! I think they don't hire waitresses that are over 35. There were a couple of male cocktail servers in the mix. That was a first for me (I guess Harrah's is being EOE). Drink service sucked on all shifts except swing. I also went to Ghost Bar and ran into a DJ I know from Hawaii. The food, hmmm I know I tried the seafood buffet and ate nine clusters of snow crab. I will definitely stay here again. Update: Ate at the Carnival World Buffet. It was worth the comp! Saw Penn

I will be staying at the Rio my 3rd time this September. You can't beat it on a hoilday weekend. The pool is just crowded enough, but not so crowded you can't get a chair. The view from the Voodoo is the best in Vegas, and with the free shuttles every half hour to Caesar's, Bally's/Paris/,

I haven't stayed there, so this rating is for the buffet, the dealers (even though 1 deck black jack killed me) and because Penn

The slots were alright, the host at Voodoo Steak was a pompous ass who gave the old "we can have a table for you at 9:30" excuse even though with it being 6 pm on a Saturday evening, they probably could have easily sat me at the bar. Thankfully the hosts at the All American Bar and Grill were much more accommodating. Sat me with no problem at all, and saved me some $$$, as it was half of what it would have cost me had I gotten a seat at Voodoo Steak.

Stayed once, in the Big Kahuna Suite, with my friend the High Roller. That rocked.Nothing else about this place does, though. I may try the new ibar when I come out in Vegas.

The Rio has nice big comfortable rooms and a big fun casino although drink service didn't seem to be as good as other Harrah's properties. Every Vegas newbie should make the trip to see the Carnival show in the casino. On the downside, slots are tight, table minimums can be surprisingly high, and there aren't enough places to grab good cheap eats. (Maybe walk to the Palms which has a food court.)

Didnt stay but really nice a roomy inside. Loved the high ceilings and open ares.

All Suite Hotel....
One night at this place changed the last 2+ years of my life...
Thats my attachment to this place..

I've stayed at the Rio several times. The Rio is slowing going downhill. Rooms are big, but are beginning to show their age. Voodoo lounge was fun before they went the way of the bottle service required to sit down. Masquerade show is still fun and the bevertainers are still fun to watch. They have a wide variety of restaurants. I've been to most of them and they are all pretty good, although, I'm not much of a buffet fan for anything except breakfast. Favorite restaurants are Buzios and Morterano's. RUB wasn't as good as I thought it would be. We saw Penn and Teller. I loved it. Mrs. Fox fell asleep. Have had great luck in the casino, but not any more. Table minimums have gotten too high. They took out most of the slots we liked and they ones that are left don't pay like they used to pay. They also ruined the pool by making their best pool into a stripper pool with a daily cover charge. All in all, no longer worth the inconvenience of an off-strip location IMO.

Wife booked the trip on the advise of an AMEX travel advisor (had to use the points up). let's say this for the Rio...nice size room, GREAT buffet..pool decent, when we went there were WAY too many kids around. ZERO nightlife at this place.

On my list for two reasons only. 1) It's where the WSoP is; 2) I hit a Royal Flush playing 5x$5 VP here.

my general home in vegas before and after the updating from the aladdin to the current PH. the new look is more modern with paneling all over and the biggest problem with the revamp is the stationing of the timeshare folks at the elevators off the casino for you to get to your rooms. the beds are very comforatble and they have added movie memorabilia to the rooms. the miracle mile has some of the best shopping and you cant go wrong eating at Cheeseburger, the Spice Marlet buffet and Planet Dailies, the 24 hour resturant.

Arabian Nights my ass! If you ask me, combing 80's A-listers, whacked out design, themed rooms, and color changing lights was destined to make this a quintessential Vegas resort. Yes, it's gaudy. Yes, it's over the top. But it's all done in such a high-class way that the overall effect works.

Good location, dining optrions are good if you don't want to break the bank. Love the shopping. Didn't gamble. Rooms comfortable and decent. Large bathrooms fast elevators.

i was here for a show STOMP OUT LOUD and must say for a young property it was very nice i loved the miracle mile shops very tasteful but way too many vegas themed stores there's a cheap place at about every turn in there lol... as far as the casino it had a really good layout and easy to navigate the only thing i had a beef with were the security personnel they were unhelpful almost like having an encounter with the C.I.A. seriously folks i am dead serious they stand there and won't talk or move unless approached by another of their kind other than that very top notch resort !!!

This is where the crew normally stays. We cram as many as we can into a 2bdrm Panorama Suite, stock it with liquor and snacks and it becomes degenerate-central. Well mostly we just use it to sleep a little and play cards on the Fri/Sat to stay away from the jacked up table mins those nights. But oh the fun we COULD have...if our wives would let us.

Go Go girls while you gamble, 'nuff said. The decor was modern and pleasant...my kind of style! Good music playing too! Too bad the minimums were so high!

Great casino, good blackjack action, great decor, the Miracle Mile Shops, Hawaiian Tropic Zone, Pinks Hotdogs .. Did I say, Planet Hollywood ?

They gave me a 1,200+ sq. ft. panorama suite when I reserved one of their standard rooms, and for that I will always be grateful. There was no reason to renovate this place. Planet Hollywood better be damn good.

Planet Hollywood made a solid attempt at trying to remake a ruined property, washing away 2/3rds of the former Aladdin (and giving Vegas aficionados a new game: "Spot the Aladdin Theme") while providing one of the best independently run casinos. Now part of the Harrah's fleet, who the hell knows what will happen.

Great fun vibe for a weekend night out. Watch out for b-list celebs working the Heart Bar. Friendly dealers and ok luck pervade. Planet Dailies has some great 24 hour food for your taking. Avoid the labyrinth of a mall and stay elsewhere though for the lack of updated rooms. Also look for those middle eastern touches from the past.

Better than the Aladdin. Friendly staff. Interested to stay here one trip. Time share people were a little pushy. Like the layout of games, but parts are a little cramped.

The douchebaggery level here was not nearly as high as I have read on this site. The place was hopping and the service was good. This is a top candidate for our business during our December trip.

By far the best low buy-in NLH poker tournaments on the Strip - four times a day. Friendly dealers and very beatable opponents. The casino's not only well located, it's a nice attempt at Palms and Hard Rock cool, and so much better than Aladdin was - not looking forward to the Harrah's takeover...

PH has a young hip vibe. It seems to cater to the 20s-30s age range. The casino and lobby has a very trendy, opulent look to it. Miracle Mile Shops are connected to the hotel, which makes it very convient for the shopping enthusiast. The delux rooms are nice and spacious. However, they do seem very dark and do not have enough lighting options. The bathroom is spacious with a seperate tub and shower. Overall, it is a very nice property and the location is ideal.

We had a better time the first time we stayed here when it was the Alladin. Be sure to ask for a room upgrade @ check in. First time we stayed here we got an upgrade to a "Strip Suite" for no additional charge !! P Ho's new look in the casino is great. All sorts of flat panel tv's and cool color changing lighting. Wondering if they are going to update the rooms now. Pay the extra fee for a Bellagiio Fountain view room. Worth it.

Am I the only one who loved the Aladdin? Zanzabar might be the best cafe in all of Vegas (I hope it's still there)

Stayed when it was the Aladdin Hotel. Visited the new PH, still like the Desert Passage shops. Caught the V Ultimate Variety show, it was fun. Casino paid when it was Aladdin, not so good as PH.
