Wynn Las Vegas vs Venetian : Vegas Battle Royale

Wynn Las Vegas
Las Vegas Strip
Blow by blow:

Is there any better place in all of Vegas? Before the arrival of ARIA and CityCenter's Mandarin Oriental, I would've said "hell no." Now, I'm not so sure.

Hi, my name is Steve Wynn... and this is my new resort. The only one I've EVER put my name on.

Consistently awesome staff and a design unparalleled by any hotel on the strip, it's no wonder Wynn Las Vegas has had my business again and again. Anybody who has stayed in the Tower Suites knows it's the only way to go.

Its just beautiful.
The staff kick ass, and are not ashamed to show the 'aloha'.

can't get enough of it. not a bad thing to say. shell out the extra coin and stay in the tower suites rooms. dramatic difference in service and attention to details

Best hotel/casino currently in Vegas. Fantastic everything. Can't wait to go back!

Was Mr. Wynn crown jewel before he trumped it with Encore. Still, in my opinion, the second best property in Vegas. Not too shabby. Classy, elegant, plush. Think of Circus Circus and then think of the extreme opposite

I loved every single thing about it. I have stayed there 3 times and once in a Tower Suite. I have also stayed at Bellagio, and prefer Wynn by far.

THIS IS SOME PLACE WHERE I HOPE SOME DAY TO STAY AND PLAY IN. JUST WALKING THRU THIS PLACE IS TRULY A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, MR. WYNN HAS LEFT NOTHING UNTOUCHED THE PLACE IS BEYOND BREATHTAKING AND THE CASINO IS SO RELAXING TO PLAY IN. SOMEDAY I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO SPEND SOME GOOD QUALITY TIME THERE...

Beautiful rooms, beautiful casino, great restaurants. What more do you need?

Just stayed at the Wynn. How was it? Awesome. Pool. Awesome. Food. Awesome. Clubs, bars and entertainment. Awesome.

Wow. Got there for a free night's stay on April 30 a little early - gal at check in said that there wasn't a basic non smoking room available. So I offered to gladly take a smoking room (I can't imagine the smoking rooms at the Wynn being that bad) so she bumped me to a panoramic Strip view corner room on floor number 20 for free... SWEET! Only there for a night, but wow. Everyone talks about the bed... I was a little (majorly) drunk when I got into it but it was the most comfortable bed I've ever been in! The room was incredibly spacious. The TV actually said "Welcome Robert" or something to that effect when I walked in - majorly cool. Not sure I liked the orange halls, but I digress.... The staff was AWESOME - even came for turn down service, everyone was so friendly. Definitely a first class experience. Too bad I work at a bank and can't afford a room again.... lol

A hotel masterpiece, amazingly and carefully designed to make you feel casually elegant, right? Amazing rooms and a great casino. Check out the Lake of Dreams for a free acid trip, dine at SW and relish in the goodness that is Truffled Cream Corn, or stroll around and witness those with money and those digging for it.

Until the opening of ARIA, the Wynn was miles ahead of its competition. Now, it's a dead heat between the crown jewels of the Wynn and MGM empires.

The rooms are nice ... but it know what its all about you MUST stay in a suite. I’m not trying to be a snob here, but from the private check in surrounded by bits of Steve Wynn’s art collection to the private suite hold pools – it’s the only way to roll. Eat at Alex and be amazed by the food without being overwhelmed, people watch at Parasol Down or play Pro or No in the B Bar after 11 pm. It doesn’t get much better then this.

The best. From The Resort Suite to The Salone Suite, incredible! Let's see what happens at Encore.

ok. no question this is where i spend the most time. awesome drinks, gambling, crowd, clubs, food. and awesome drinks. repeated, because they are that awesome.

Vegas perfection. We spend a lot of time here. The best buffet, comfortable casino (though I would like to forget my recent run at the tables), and outstanding design.

This place sets the standards by which all other places aspire. Excellent service from every staff member I come into contact with. Only complaint I can find with this place is the prices at dinning establishments, but I guess that is the cost of excellence. Luckly the Venetian has some good dinning options nearby, along with forum shops. Drink service and gambling has been good every time. I even managed to Wynn a few bucks during last visit. I will return as long as they keep the room rates in my neighborhood.

I so want to own a suite here. I mean. If I had millions, I'd buy one on the 60th floor and freaking move in. Freakin-A. I'd order those dreamy pancakes and have the syrup heated just right every single morning. Outfit those curtains with a remote so I can open it whenever I want. Yeah. Hell yeah.

Ahhhhh... Wynn... I waited 5 long years watching the planning and construction of the place. We were there for the opening and I've been quite a few times since then. I can say that I truly love the hotel. The rooms are great, the service is great, the spa is great, I love the casino, the colors are awesome and the food is amazing - lots of great restaurants. Looking forward to Encore.

A step sideways from Bellagio. The casino is great for a modern, heavily-appointed property but the restaurants vary and the resort end is beaten by it's chief competitor. I've learned to respect the interior, even if I don't fully love it.

Tryst is visually stunning. Am looking forward to eating at The Country Club. Shops seem a bit too high end for me (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I have only been to the casino, but what a casino! I did not get the opportunity to play enough there but what an ambiance. The lobby, the casino floor were warm and inviting. I love red and the casino was a great display of red design. The slots were fun - I really can't wait to go back and find the Wynn Blazing 7s. I loved the interaction with the slot club card screen on each slot machine. Only wish they had web access to player comp points, promotions, etc. Hope to stay there one day.

Gorgeous design and great restaurants mark the Wynn in my memory, but the table limits are too rich for my blood.

I will be staying there for the first time in about a week. My boss claims this is his hands-down fave Vegas property. He's the one who encouraged me to sign up for the Red Card and gamble just a bit there. The Nugget, then Caesars were his faves before. Although there is no way I am willing to pay to play their table games, they have a great array of slots for the low-baller. I didn't walk out a big winner, but that's no difference from anywhere I go. I DID get a good amount of play for the money spent. The drinks are well served (one waitress tracked us down to the other side of the room to deliver out booze when we wandered off) and strong enough. I probably still wouldn't be staying here except they sent me a $120/night deal with $150 in free slot play as a player's club member (thanks boss!). We'll see if I'll feel compelled to do it again sometime after I see what the holiday experience brings....maybe another spot on the dice.

Stayed twice (Jun 05, Jan 07). Lovely. Casino is fun - my favourite and most frequented - and the Poker Room rather good too. It'll take something really special (and MO doesn't have a casino, so that's out) to stop me returning to Wynncore rather than anywhere else.

The rooms are amazing, I could say that. Their restaurants are exquisite as well as the design but, there's just something thats missing- something big. Maybe its the location, or that "feel" IDK . I'll find out soon.

Probably best hotel on the strip. The only drawback is that the table limits are quite high and dealers seem to have an attitude if you are not shelling out the dough. Even if you are a steady $25 / hand BJ player, they seen to not really give a shit. I may be kind of dated here, because the last time I played BJ (for above reasons) was 2008. Good Video poker, good drink service in the slot areas. Nice sports book. Great pool area.

It is very nice. I've seen Avenue Q and Spamalot and enjoyed that theatre and the shop both times. The shopping, while high-end, is nothing to toot your horn about. The casino is beautiful and yet I feel so cramped with the lowered roof. The observatory and te lake is noce. The best restaurant in the hotel is Bartolotta di Mare. i would stay there if I had a good view, but doesn't see dropping out alot of dough for the rooms.

Best music, best waitresses (I suspect they're genetically engineered), best cocktail service, best slots (in my experience), best burger I've ever had (Terrace Point Cafe), and all sorts of other small details that make this place pure magic.

Blow by blow:

Best and largest rooms on the strip. I rank it a little lower than Encore and Wynn because the gambling atmosphere is a little "uptight" and "warehouse" feel. I like a more party and loud gambling atmosphere.

My new favorite, getting comped will do that for a casino. Great restaurants and best club, Tao and Tao beach. Service is excellent and location is good. Looking forward to going back.

Saw the Venetian on our first trip to Vegas and dreamt of staying there. Well, with the help of websites such as these we discovered promo codes and did on our next trip. The rooms are amazing and the pool area is really nice - a lot of space to relax and not feel crammed in like some other pool areas. We try and stay here a few nights on every trip - promo code permitting ;0)

This was the first place I stayed. The second I stepped foot into that lobby, the obsession began. I was hooked. Great rooms, great restaurants, great service. And the casino's not so bad either.

stayed in the venezia concierge level. it's a pain in the ass to get to your room but the one great thing about it was that they have complimentary cocktails in the early evening. drank the bar out of jack one day. don't forget though just cuz it's free doesn't mean you don't tip.

Many people here dislike the Venetian because of the phony decor (in my opinion better than the Wynn) . A lot of things in the Venetian are fake but its not that bad. Anyway, the hotel is cozy with small hidden places where you can people watch and enjoy a snack (Bouchon pasteries). The grand cannel shops is a great touch to the resort to hang out. The rooms are great but it just does not have that "feel" to it like the Bellagio has.

This is my favorite strip casino. It's absolutely gorgeous. The detail that has gone into this place is amazing. The rooms are suites and very nice. The gambling, in my opinion, is like most places on the strip, tight. They don't build these big casinos on the backs of winners. It is however, one of the top places to see in this great city.

I like the Venetian even with the huge odor. I still love to wonder around and eat a Mario Batali's restaurant at the grand Canal shops. BTW: Large and nicely renovated rooms!

This place was alright. Only came here to eat and ride the gondola which was way too crowded.

Fantastic restaurants (Delmonico). Rooms are getting a bit worn and not a great place to gamble. Overall a great facility.

Beautiful!! A bit large though. It took a long time to get our bags after check in. They did offer upgrades upon checkin. We chose the 1400 sq ft piazza suite. Boy was that fun. Be sure to call in room dining and inquire about a coffee pot. They will bring it up to you with enough for your entire stay for less than $5 total. Be sure to visit the Buchon bistro. Great treats and snacks. Looking forward to staying here again.

I thought the room was nice. Not amazing, but pretty nice. The biggest downfall of this place is that it is gigantic and maze-like. It's nearly impossible to know your way around in any less than 2 days. Frustrating.

Very nice large well appointed rooms. Great Dining options, Great Location, Overrated Spa with lousy wet facilities, The reason I rate Venetian a 4 while Mandalay Bay, TI and Mirage get 5s is because I take value into consideration.

Venetian is entertaining, the sheer size of it affords not only mucho people watching but measurable enjoyment just from exploring its expanses. Gambling here sucks though, you might as well just donate your cash to the water features outside as this activity will likely take the same amount of time as losing the money gambling inside and leave you feeling just as unsatisfied. Phantom is a great show, and the AVN porno convention is here every year.

I have not stayed here but I like the casino and the bloody mary's here are great!

Good sized rooms with a funky design (step down living room), I stayed here for a week during a Convention and got very comfortable here. It’s not as high end as they would like to be, but it’s a solid B .

Love the V Bar, love the full house they deal me every time I play Let It Ride here. Like the fellow gamblers here too.

The Venetian is an overpriced hoo-ha of a hotel with gold plated styrofoam decor, stodgy rooms and three star service. How this place got a five diamond award baffles me.
