My wife and I are heading back to Vegas in a couple weeks, and I am dying to try Gordon Ramsay Steak after reading Chuck's stellar review. I am also fascinated by Batali's hyper-aged steaks at Carnevino in the Palazzo, however, and am having trouble deciding between the two.

To my fellow Vegas freaks: where on the strip have you had a really, really great steak? I'm...

I am wondering how the new MGM Park is going to impact Rue de Monte Carlo both in the end and during construction phase. My visits to Vegas are primarily for business and gettin "home" at the end of the day in the rental car is a big deal. I've come to rely on Rue de Monte Carlo heavily , as many of you also do, as an...

Is there any benefit of getting a marker or casino credit when it comes to benefit or host?
I've always thought it would be fun to go up to a table and call up a marker but other than the ego thing are there other benefits?

I just noticed a few upgrades to the Mlife site (in addition to the fact that it now appears to work properly). Specifically, I can now book room offers again at all properties (several properties, like Bellagio, required me to phone in over the last year). It is still showing Noir as a tier (I thought they were doing away with that?). The partner page has some...

I know at CET properties that slots pay twice as many tier credits as the same denomination video poker game. For example, $5 = 1 tier credit on slots, and $10 = 1 tier credit on VP. Does anyone know if the same is true for Mlife properties? I'm thinking both games pay the same amount of credits but I can't find the answer anywhere......

The Mirage loses another shred of luxury

Sad news ... the Mirage has joined the ranks of formerly luxurious hotels that have abandoned the fancy Wynn-era plush urinal splash guards for the cheapo plastic semi-functional variety. I guess I should be happy they held out for as long as they did (they had them as recently as three months ago), but geez Mirage. It's getting more and more difficult to think of you as my...

What should I leave time for during my trip to Vegas this weekend?

It can be visiting a remodeled resort, eating at a restaurant (new or old), playing a specific game at a specific casino, meeting someone cool, trying a new drink, angling for a specific freebie, or just relaxing somewhere.

Two rules:

-- I won't have a car, but I'll have time to visit anything within walking distance of the Bellagio...

So I know they have been gone for quite awhile, but it seems to me Vegas could use another company like them. Love them or hate them, they made some of the best themed casino's, they might not have stayed in the very best of condition, but I think MGM has had a big part in that. Either way, it would be nice to see some of the people they...

There was a construction crew putting in some lights, only 3 signs are fully restored in the boneyard and it can get quite dark in some places (in the bac by the motel signs is almost pitch black at night).

Final hours...
