Is there anything better about the Bellagio pool compared to the Wynn pool?

I like the Bellagio area because of the many separate pools, including the few with the fountains in the center. I also like the food/sandwiches served at the Bellagio pool area bar. The Wynn just has the dogbone pool and the separate topless pool. Wynn does have the outdoor gaming though.

hail2skins.....so in terms of Pools...you think Bellagio is better?

Although the Wynn's is very nice, the Bellagio's pool is definitely a step up in almost every way.
There's more space and a nice variety of different pools as opposed to Wynn's one big dogbone (as hail2skins mentioned) pool. The Bellagio's just feels more opulent and comfortable with the Italian thing going on.

i wonder why wynn didnt build a better pool area when he created wynn/encore

Oh I also answered your question you posted in the Mirage 1993 pic post.

I consider them to be about the same. They are both nice, expansive areas that are divided up into different pool styles. Wynn has an upper level for the Tower Suites pool.

This, basically.

I think the Wynn pool is a tad bit more elegant and intimate. The Wynn spaces aren't so wide open, there are fewer children about, and the drink service tends to be better.

Apollo, I couldn't tell you how much square footage the Wynn's pool area was in comparison to Bellagio's, nor the amount of water area in each. To be fair, I only stayed at Wynn proper once when it first opened, and didn't get a chance to really enjoy the pool area because of the weather. I have stayed at Encore twice and have enjoyed the pool there, even if it is a little small.

I just think that Steve created the Bellagio as a grander property and sacrificed the Dunes golf course for it while with Wynn, he was going for more of an intimate feel in all aspects and kept the golf course. Not sure whether that influenced the size of the pool area or not. In general, with perhaps the exception of the rooms, I enjoy Bellagio more in just about every other aspect of the resorts......and the rooms at Bellagio don't exactly suck, especially since the reno.

sounds like your a Bellagio loyalist.

ive never stayed at Bellagio. I do like have dinner there.

Wynn's pool area is eaten up a bit by creating a separate pool and hottub for the 1% in the Tower Suites. Bellagio is able to offer more space by rejecting this classism.

JohnD replied on Monday, 23rd January 2012

How the fuck do you figure?! The Tower Suites pool area lies above the main pool area. And classism? You give me lulz, Frodo Baggins.

fatbastard replied on Tuesday, 24th January 2012

Ah yes - everything must be politicized amongst the angry left.

Never been to the Bellagio pool, but indeed the Wynncore pool areas always seemed cramped to me.

Luckily they don't limit the tower sweet pool decks to the top 1%. In fact the top 5% are welcome; and they can find empty chairs and helpful drink service in the middle of the afternoon during prime pool time.

And you can look down at the regular Wynncore riff raff as you laugh at their crowded misfortune.

Like most things, it depends on your persepctive. If you want space, the Bellagio pools are much better, more pools to choose from, more chairs, easy to get drinks on your own, or get drink service. And the ambiance is very relaxed, classy. The Bellagio pools have mostly an older crowd, lots of couples, some families.
Whereas the Wynn pools have younger people. More eye candy to look at.
A more energetic, and active atmosphere.

Classism? It's Vegas, plumber or company president, you pay to play.
And TS has two pools. Twice the class division quotent?
Standard pool to standard, Bellagio's is more open and has more choices.
