FIX or Stack

From things I've read on the board most of you here think light group ruins everything they touch. Does this also go for these 2 places. There is only one review on here and it's for FIX. The next trip is in April and I was considering Stack at Mirage, any thoughts.
Thanks

Fix has excellent specialty drinks, but both disappoint on the food. Decor is nearly identical. Check the menu first at Stack, to see if there is something you want as they use a lot of non-traditional food pairings.
Be aware, my understanding is Mirage will be rennovating their restaurant row but I don't know when it starts.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look for someplace else to try.

Fix and Stack are almost identical.
The menu is pretty much the same and I have always been happy with the service I get when I go there. My only disappointment is that they have raised their prices a lot in the last 2 years.
It all depends on where you want to hangout.
If you go to Fix use that as an excuse to check out Lily (that's Caramel's replacement) and Hyde.
If you end up at Stack order the Hot Rocks, it's a great appetizer that always impresses everyone around you.

Their menus are very similar.
That said, FIX has the Kobe Chilli Cheese Fries.
The food isn't bad at all. Just the restaurants are relatively similar and the food TENDS to be overpriced. Its a "One Thumb Up" place.

I'm personally a huge fan of Stack. Better-stocked bar than a lot of places in Vegas; I can't speak to their specialty cocktails, but there are a couple off-menu drinks I like that are hard to find, just because most places either don't have the ingredients, or do but the bartenders are clueless (I'm looking at you, Cosmopolitan). Love the sea bass, too, and the bar seating is nice if you're there alone, especially compared to the alternatives for single diners at a lot of places I've been to.
That being said, Stack markets itself more as a steakhouse, and if that's what you're looking for, there are certainly better options. It's not spectacular, but very good and very consistent.

My wife always wants to try new drinks with vodka so maybe we'll hit it up for some drinks and pop rocks. Also Adult Tater tots, good? great?

I'm a fan of Stack as well. I always just came in for drinks and appetizers. They have indeed raised their prices since I first went there, and I believe they shortened their kitchen hours as well (I used to go there later at night). I almost always order the Hot Rocks when I'm there. The novelty of it never wears off for me.

I've never had a bad dish at Fix, but Yellowtail remains the best thing that Light Group has ever done.

Agreed.
