Clark County Shooting Range in North Las Vegas. It's way off of the Strip, but it's good times.

I went to Discount Firearms, just on the west side of the strip by all the strip clubs. They have machine guns.

I want to know what was on that target.

The Gun Store is the most well known of the area shooting ranges. Also, there is a new one with (former military) bikini hostesses and bottle service that just opened near the strip. Can't recall the name of it.

The Machine Gun Experience opens Feb. 1.

Bottle service at a gun range... what could go wrong?

I love shooting as much as I love drinking, but the two do not mix. I'd say the cops will be keeping a close eye on this place, because that has to be illegal, even in Vegas...

If it's done safely cool, but it reminds me of this:

From what I've heard, The Gun Store has gone downhill in recent years because they have gotten so popular that they try to get customers in and out as quickly as possible (The gun range version of a McDonald's is what I have heard one person refer to it as these days.). I went there with a group of guys about 5 years ago and it was a nice way to kill an hour or so (we got there mid-morning when the place wasn't crowded and even with 6 of us, it didn't take too long).

As for this new gun range, it's a lounge in name only, as no alcohol is served, but the facility is setup as though you were hanging out in a lounge.

Not at all what I had pictured in my mind. I can't wait!

I went to The Gun Store the day that Wynn Las Vegas opened in 2005 (room was not ready).

We shot machine guns and it was a blast. IIRC, it was a buck a round - pricey. They put the Osama bin Laden paper thingy upside down - too many people naturally allow the gun to recoil and shoot up their ceiling otherwise.

Haven't been since but we have some bad-ass photos of us shooting M-16s so I can't complain.

I've shot a variety of firearms at the Las Vegas Gun Range (not to be confused with the Las Vegas Gun Store). The Las Vegas Gun Range is located on Blue Diamond Highway. It's located about 15 minutes southwest of Mandalay Bay. They have a great selection of firearms including M-16, tommy gun, AK-47, Uzi, Swedish K, and Desert Eagle.

The LV Gun Range isn't a fancy place. The staff knows firearms (many are former military) and range safety is a priority. I've visited the store 3 times since 2007.

Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of firing an automatic weapon :)
Fun times!
