Just got to Mirage yesterday. Took cab from airport. Cabbie tried to get us to take tunnle and I said no. Slowest cab ride ever! Fare for cab was $21. Limos from now on. This is getting out of hand.

How is this possible? What route did he take/was supposed to take. Good call on not getting long hauled, but isn't that ride supposed to be around $11?!! D:
Also I've been hearing from a couple of cabbies lately this year over the summer that sometimes taking the tunnel is good depending on where you go. And this was from one who was an Ace driver. And those guys were on the westside out near the mansions..
So I don't even know who to trust now.. they made it sound really convincing.. 2 separate cabbies from different companies.. still have the Taxi Authority in my contacts just in case....

Depending on traffic that might not be far off. It's usually around $15 to get to the Bellagio for me and $25 getting "shafted" before I knew better. But during high traffic times it's bumped around $20.

Just used a limo (sedan) for the first time on our trip 3 weeks ago. Stopped by "The Office" on the way to the Mirage for beer, ice, cooler, mixers for around $20,and he even put all the drinks on ice. No more taxis for me...Oh, I got charged almost $30 last summer for a taxi trip to the Mirage. Went to the taxi authority and got most of my money back. It was a hassle for a few minutes on our arrival, but it was worth it.

We gave up on the taxis a couple of years ago. Have a town car waiting for us, they take the luggage and then a relaxing trip to our hotel without dealing with some cowboy driver. More money yes but arrive, hassle free and ready for some Vegas fun.

I've had a similar experience, they tend to slow foot the pedal for lights and take a route (i don't remember the road) that takes them out farther then I've had to go before for a cutover to get to Mirage.

I know Tim and Michelle have covered this to some degree on ''Five Hundy'', but what limo services do you folks recommend, and what pricing strcture are we looking at? Stupid question...if I asked to go to In n Out, would that be an issue?
