Changes to Mlife today

Just checked my account on Mlife.com, right now I'm a pearl card holder and as of yesterday my tier credits were at the point where I should of been able to hit Gold by the first day of my next trip. Now while I'm still pearl, I have no tier credits?
Did this happen to everyone, and more importantly do we know of its how it's supposed to be, or just another fluke with mlife.com

Yes it's a new thing. All tier credits expire October 1, every year, instead of rolling expiration based on when they were earned. I lost 87,000 tier credits today. My tier is still good for a while though.
I'm honestly pretty annoyed by the new policy. I'm thinking my next trip out might be to Red Rock, instead of an MGM property.

they went to an annual tier credit reset instead of a rolling 12 months. Your current tier is good till September 30, 2013 now

Are you sure about that. The expiration on my card is Dec of this year.

On Sunday September 30th 2012, I had 578,629 tier credits. As of Monday October 1st, it says *zero* tier credits. Whatever.

Pretty standard, just like Delta skymiles or Marriott- you keep the tier level for the next year that you achieved the previous year. If I'm close to the next level near the rollover I plan a trip to secure my status.

Yup. I was at 170,000 points and Gold tier and took a trip this past weekend just to grab platinum (Friday night to Sunday morning). Although I still haven't figured out how the points are accrued... I ended the weekend this morning with 280,000 tier points... meaning I earned 110,000 points in 36 hours or, at 25 points per dollar max, I should've spent approximately $4,500... But hotel plus food plus gambling plus drinking came to about 1/4 that and gambling certainly doesn't comp the same as the hotel/food comp rate.
Is there some sort of bonus comping going on that I'm not aware of?

The problem now is that while you keep your tier status for at least another year, it could be all the harder to earn a higher status. If at the end of September you have 74,999 tier credits regardless of when you last had activity on your account, you'll reset to 0 on October 1st and have to start all over. The only way that it really won't effect you is if you consistently maintain Noir (or at least platinum now that Noir has gone back to invitation only) because at that point moving up the food chain is somewhat irrelevant. I'm hoping this part of the program gets changed again. Either go to a system like TR, or at least make the credits expire on Oct. 1st of the following year.

Noir went invitation only? My mlife account says I'm 1000000 Tier points away from Noir...

Good explanation here LINKY-link

If this is true (as far as timeline) I'm thrilled my Platinum expiration date was November of this year. Free Platinum for another year is a very big plus, considering losing all my express comps previously.
