Two Questions for the Weekend of Jan 19 and 20

Started by adztheman on Sunday, 11th November 2012 2:56 pm

I'm part of a Bachelor Party Group for the weekend of January 19 and 20; the bulk of the group is staying at Excalibur; I'm looking at flying in late Friday night, going to DuPar's for Pancakes then take the CAT to the Strip and running around all night, maybe crashing on somebody's floor..

Nothing against the Ex, but I'm looking at Terribles for Saturday, and the D for Sunday..

I'm wondering about the Fiscal Cliff..if we all go over that abyss, will that have an impact on room rates? This will be trip #13 to Las Vegas, so I'm likely going to book everything following the New Year anyway..

Since the NFC and AFC Championship games are on that particular Sunday, the guy getting married is looking at Lagasse Stadium for that Sunday..what are we looking at as far as a mimimum for food and drink as far as reservations are concerned?

Thanks for the assistance..I've not been in Vegas for two years, and there are many things I want to see that I have not seen before...Stupid scheduling on my part on the last two trips had me leaving the day that Aria, and then Cosmopolitan opened..

When I've been for a regular college football Saturday and reserved one of the couch areas on the risers above the sports book windows, it was $50 per person. If you are doing one of the Skyboxes (or just because it is Championship weekend), I would plan on $100 per person.

Just got off the phone with someone from the Venue..its a $100 food and drink minimum, per person, per game, on that particular Sunday...a SkyBox goes at $200 food and drink minimum, per person, per game on that Sunday..Ouch...I also proposed the Palms, which has an all you can eat and drink special every Sunday..

I looked at the menu...I could see doing about $60 in food, and $25 in beer..but not for two games..not that much of a glutton..
