Hi Guys I need your opinions on a little situation.
I'm headed to Vegas for my 30th birthday with 3 of my buddies. I'm staying 3 nights, 2 with them 1 alone (a man needs to be alone with his thoughts) I'm doing all the planning trying to make sure everyone has fun at different budgets.
Since I'm 30, I'm no longer ok with stuffing 4+ guys in 1 room. So I got 2 rooms at the TI with a great rate.
I recently got a deal at the Wynn for 3 nights at a great rate.
So I booked it, which means 2 guys stay TI(lower rate) and 2 guys stay at Wynn (higher rate). And I get a night at the Wynn alone at a great rate.
Or do I cancel and keep the group together and pay more for my night alone.
My wife says I should be a socialist and stay together, what do you guys think?
Thanks
G

In Vegas I usually just hit a wall and want to be in my room ASAP to pass out. I will wander and gamble anywhere on the Strip, but as day turns to night I usually move back toward my home base so I don't have to deal with waiting in a taxi line to get a ride back to my hotel and my room when I want to be sleeping NOW!
If you or your friends are like me, then I vote for keeping the group in the same hotel.
PS. I spent my 30th in Vegas also. I couldn't have thought of a better way to do it. You'll have a great time.

Since keeping a group of friends organized and together in Vegas is like herding cats, I suggest you glue the group together as best as possible. A similar scenario happened to me, I was at Palazzo with six friends, and my cousin and one other friend cheaped out at stayed at Luxor. We literally lost them, like Doug in the Hangover, and then when we found them again we lost my cousin on our way out of a strip club. He forgot about his roommate and took a taxi to Mandalay Bay, wasn't answering his phone, and finally only made it back to his room at Luxor because an MB security guard took pity on him. Yes, he was wasted, but it turned fun into hell. So keep the boys together!

You're dealing with adults..try to do one or two activities together, like a meal, but let everybody else do their thing.
You're going to be across the street from each other..just make sure everybody has the cell numbers of everyone in the group, and have a text or face to face gathering as to what everybody might be doing during the day..
Trying to get a group of people to gather in one spot, or having 10 people try to agree on something, is not the way to do Vegas..each to his own..within perscribed limits of course..

G, Keep your room bookings the way you have them..The rooms at TI are nice..At age 30 the 99 seconds it takes to walk from the Wynn to TI and Back is well worth a great room rate..Decided where to meet Wynn or TI and cab your Butts Down to Aria, etc..I have stayed at TI this year and Had a great rate and room..The Wynn is my Favorite Casino and taking a little walk back and forth, I saved money to gamble or eat at the Wynn..I will be Doing this same trip in January..Good Luck, Happy Birthday!

haha 99 seconds focused, sober and during the day. 99 minutes after a day of gambling boozing etc... you gotta stay together, that is if you want to be with everyone..

Our group usually stays all over. We always have a set bar we meet at and a few planned events cabana, dinner, show, a trip to Fremont, etc. Works well for us

We make an effort to stay in the same vicinity if possible, but my friends and I typically stay in different hotels, we view it as an opportunity to head to different spots during a trip.

I think the right thing to do is stay together at TI.
You still have your one night alone that you can keep at Wynn.
I’m 32 and at this point in life, I think it’s better to stay together, but my perspective is based on the fact that I would have a hard time corralling 3 other friends to Vegas for a weekend now that everyone has wives, kids and busy lives.
I prefer staying at the nicer hotels in Vegas, but you should only worry about that when you and your wife go for the weekend….when you’re with your bro’s….the hotel is less important.

Have you stayed at the Ruffinized TI? It keeps changing. I can be a hotel snob, and I would probably take Wynn. Wynn isn't too inconvenient from TI, but it does involve the use of two outdoor pedestrian bridges. Are you the type of player that can play at Wynn levels? Can your buddies? If you don't want to stay at TI and want to be closer, try Mirage. Or, if you really need a higher end and mid-range combo, I would suggest Aria and Monte Carlo. That's not a bad combo. You can get from one to the other without stepping outside or waiting for a tram.
