Sup gang, how's it hanging? I was messing around youtube one evening last week and found a cool documentary about Vegas gamblers. A man named Louis Theroux Followed different types of gamblers to try and find out why they do what the do. If you have the time go on youtube and type in "Louis Theroux Gambling in Las Vegas" it's broken up in to 6 10:00 parts. Holla back guys.

Great video from the BBC! Thanks for the recommendation. Reminds us some of the gambling addicts we all know…
One, is the slots players: Back in the days of the coin buckets, we saw this old lady in the corner playing 3-4 slot machines at once, feeding coins into the machines like a zombie, pacing back and forth between the machines. Now in these Louis Theroux videos, you see a high roller with a fist full of $100 bills, essentially doing the same thing. The same automated movements going from slot to slot and cramming in one $100 bill after another. Primary focus seems to be not on whether he has a win, but on how soon, how quickly, he can make another bet.
Second is the “I have a system” blackjack player: They show a guy just getting to Vegas, brimming with confidence, explaining about how he always wins because he has “a system” that he never varies from. And he has mighty discipline to stick to it, and intense focus to prove that he has all the answers. Then sitting down at the 21 table and losing it all, then getting even more money out, and playing for hours and hours and losing all of that too. With an almost desperate look on his face of incomprehension of how could this be happening to me?

If I am not mistaken I believe the Doc's widow ended up suing or being very upset at her portrait by Louis. If it wasnt her; then I thought maybe the son or family was. Excellent Vid. Love the 'high roller' he gambles with...."Monkey!!!!"
