Ok I went to the Mlife website and checked my points. According to them
my points qualify for being a platinum member. No offers... or express comps. Plus I don't even have a good discount on a room. Is the website still having problems with the correct points being listed?

I can't even log in to mlife to check my points and haven't been able to for a couple days. I'm just Gold status but last I checked the website said I had zero offers, yet I get good offers through snail mail all the time.

I haven't been able to get on their site for a few days either. Hopefully they are giving it a much needed update. I checked last weekend and they still had November and December (2012) offers showing.

The mlife website is not a good way to get offers. MLife (ie MGM Resorts International, or whatever the Corporate Office is called) isn't the source of the offers; instead, the independent marketing departments do that. That said, there's an "mLife [Season] offer", which is generally much less than what you'd get from the specific hotel you stayed at last.
My best offers come either via snail mail or email from specific resorts. If you haven't signed up for those lists, you'll have to return to "the olden days" when this shit was handled by calling up a person and using charm and personality to convince them to give you free stuff. Definitely call a specific hotel, not mLife.
I get offers straight from Mandalay Bay. Every once in a while, NYNY (where I last stayed maybe 5 years ago) tries to send me offers but they suck compared to what MB offers, even though theoretically NYNY knows as much about me and my play as MB does. Theoretically MGM-R knows that much, and could say "hey, this guy would probably enjoy being at X or Y, let's send him an offer", but that's not the way it works. MGM is still stuck in the pre-internet world.
As a new mlife member and gambling a bit or staying a couple nights, you might get a teaser offer while they try to figure out how much you're worth; and then the offer quality drops once they figure out you're not a fish; and then the offer improves as you build a history and they get more comfortable with the idea that you won't skip out on the gambling part of a visit.

For what it's worth I'm 'Gold'. Since Mlife started I've had the same two offers from the same two properties- 20% off rates at Aria or 20% off rates at MGM. The only thing that changes is the season- Currently this is my spring offer, come May this will be my "Summer Offer". Prior to Mlife would usually get three nights comped at the Mirage and NYNY. for my birthday would get three nights at Bellagio plus $75 free play (per day- i think). Not to beat a dead horse, but the whole system is a total fail.
Nowadays, I am not loyal to one particular property and stay were I want to, gamble what I'm going to gamble and at the end of the trip stop by the desk or speak to the host on duty and usually get a majority of my charges taken off. I have found that gambling at the level I do, ALL the loyalty programs suck across the board and tend to create unrealisitic expectations. Might be a different story if my bankroll was 15k-25k/day. Anywho.

Ok I went to check the website it is still down. I am heading to Vegas in April and I will visit the casino host to verify my points. I can't believe I am platinum as I am not a big player at most $100-$200 a day. And I go to Vegas at most 2 times a year for 3 to 4 nights. According to their website when I last checked 25 points per $ spent at hotel or 10 points for table games (I think). I am not sure about slots points but I play both table and slots. Lately slots don't get much play time for $20 so I stay away.

I'm platinum but I don't really see much difference in the offers I get from when I had Sapphire status on the MLife site.
Frankly there's not really that much difference perk-wise between Gold and Platinum either...

Offers and comps are not based on the colour of your card as much as they are on your Average Daily Theoretical (ADT) or worth to the casino

Yeah but the color of my card is surely based on my YAS numbers...
