Nightclubs bring violence

Well, all the casino hotels wanted to have nightclubs. And that’s going to attract douchebags and gangsta hoodlums. People that want to fight at Oh Dark Thirty. Seems to be more and more of this. This month in Vegas there has been a shooting in a parking lot near the MGM, some guy gets stabbed 10 times in the elevator at The Hotel, and now today a shooting on the strip in front of Bill’s that kills the Maserati driver and the car crashes into a cab that explodes killing two more people. And the shooters in the Black SUV with tinted windows gets away. All these things occur after midnight, before the sunrise.

I know what you're saying - my dad always tells me that nothing good happens after 3 a.m. - and he's right. However, it's a bit of a stretch to say that nightclubs bring violence. Really, any mass gathering of people has potential to bring violence. Nightclubs or casinos are not the cause of violence here.

Can't agree with the premise of the thread.
One could possibly argue that gun violence is easier linked to hip-hop than it is to house music and top40, which is what dominates the megaclubs.
Techno and $22 martinis are not the problem.
Resort fees are the problem. Notice the Hollywood Movie style tragedy with the Maserati happened the same day CET finally caved.

hysterical.

Stosh was right about the Hip Hop part. Misnomer's favorite site, VegasChatter, says KLAS-TV is reporting the driver of the Maserati to be Kenny Clutch, aspiring rapper.

This is just fucking stupid. I'm going to go ahead and agree with the first comment.

Here's your winner for most ridiculous post of the week!

No link whatsoever. They believe it started as a dispute at Aria's valet.

I'm not about to agree with a blanket statement like "nightclubs bring violence" but I'm also not so naive to say there was no connection between the hip-hop party at Haze last night and the subsequent murder of a hip-hop artist last seen leaving Aria at 4am.
The fact that one of the performers at the nightclub (Rick Ross) was himself the target of an eerily similarly high-profile drive by shooting less than a month ago in Florida is a fairly substantial coincidence.

Nightclubs don't bring violence.
Massive, money-fed free range egos do.

Better idea: Fill in from here. "Nightclubs bring ____"

Well, the subjects involved were actually at a MAGIC fashion week party, so I think it's actually fashion that brings violence. No more heels and cooter-length skirts ladies, we can't risk it.

Cooter-length skirts are proof that there is a God and He loves us.

Wouldn't you say that gambling and losing big brings violence as well? Late nights, booze and unleashed testosterone cause many of these incidents but it is hard to say that it all revolves around nightclubs. There have been just as many incidents on the Strip that had nothing to do with the club environment so you cannot use clubs as cause and effect.

People are always jumping to conclusions. Masarati man was a dreadlocked aspiring rapper and a "well-known pimp" according to KLAS-TV, so this could've started as a spat with fellow job candidates over an Aria Diversity Team position.
vespajet replied on Friday, 22nd February 2013
A "well-known pimp"? That can explain how an "aspiring rapper" acquired a Maserati.
Here in Atlanta an "aspiring rapper" seems to get killed on a monthly basis.
Oskee2001 replied on Friday, 22nd February 2013
I heard his street pimp name was Upgrayedd, spelled thusly, for a "double-dose of his pimping."

If the Mob was still running Vegas none of this would be happening. God I miss organized crime.
vespajet replied on Saturday, 23rd February 2013
You probably wouldn't have the douchebag crowd either as a few of them would find their way into a hole in the desert after hitting on the gal of a mobster. The only Deadmau5 in town would be in a rat trap....
