How is the pool at Paris?

Started by Mullind24 on Saturday, 2nd March 2013 9:18 pm

The only time I've been to Vegas I stayed at the Flamingo and I absolutely loved the pool there but this time I've procrastinated and the rates have gone up drastically. It's actually looking like it will be cheaper to stay at Paris. I was just wondering how the pool there compares to Flamingo's.

Not quite as large but it gets more sun due to less foliage. It has less of the bustling crowds, carnival atmosphere since it caters to a european style. Staying at Paris means you can take your room cards and still go to the Flamingo pool, it's just a bit of a walk.

Paris pool is relatively big, has plenty of deck room and plenty of chairs. But it's not a big-time 'party pool' like Flamingo if that's what you're looking for. It's definitely plain-vanilla compared to Flamingo.

You might check out Tropicana or Mirage for pool scenes similar to Flamingo.

There's a reason the pool is shaped like a Petri dish. I was not impressed with the water quality.

One of the worst pools in Las Vegas. It's a big concrete hole. Go to Manadalay Bay and say ahhh.

The Paris pool doesn't have much shade after noon, unless you rent a cabana (which I imagine is much cheaper than at a oontz-tastic pool). But there are misting machines and some poolside beverages/snacks for sale.

Since it's not at ground level, you get decent views of the Strip when you're not in the pool.

Your Paris room key also should get you into Bally's pool. While it's old and tired, it's refreshingly DEEP and spacious because it might be pretty lonely there.

I didn't know a Paris room key could get you into the Flamingo's pool, but if it does, it might also get you into Planet Hollywood's pool(s?) as well.
