Best free wifi spots in Vegas

Started by saharalv on Tuesday, 5th March 2013 9:07 am

Just found out that my Fantasy baseball draft is being held during my first night in Vegas. Yes, I'm a nerd. Anyone know the best spot to hang for drinks and free wifi? Preferably downtown?
Thanks!

Hotels with resort fees might have free WiFi. So might a Starbucks. If so, try the Plaza's lobby, which I think has both.

Otherwise, go with the newer bars and coffeehouses in Freemont East. They might have free WiFi so their customers can post to Yelp and Foursquare :)

McDonald's has free WiFi and there is one at The D. The Starbucks at the Golden Nugget might be another spot as well.

My only advice is that just because a hotel includes wifi doesn't mean you could actually use it for a fantasy baseball draft. I don't remember getting wifi in any Vegas hotel that I would want to use for a draft.

I would suggest the original poster ask for GOOD wi-fi, and I'm guessing someone will have an answer (sorry, I don't).

As Vespa pointed out, McD's has free wifi. I've used the Wifi from McD's at both The Plaza and the D.

If you are at the D, the long bar is right next to McD's and you can get on their free Wifi with a good signal if you sit close enough at the bar, one of the first 3 seats should be fine.

Speed was decent when I was there a few weeks ago.
