If you flag a limo it should be around 60 bucks, which for 8 comes down to 7.50 before tip. Always an easy way to get a group around town.

There will actually be 10 of us ? Would a Bus be cheaper ???
Chuckmonster responded on Monday, 19th August 2013
With that many folks, you need a stretch limo. Either you can arrange it before hand (call Presidential Limo) or go see the valet desk an hour before you want to leave. They should set it up for you. Don't forget to tip the valet.

When you break it down per person, it isn't too much more expensive to rent a stretch limo than the cost of a 24 hour bus pass or taking multiple cabs. The bus gets crowded pretty quickly and not everyone in the group may be able to get on the same bus. Plus with a limo, you can drink.

If money is an object, then you should take the bus... what you save in cash will be made up ten fold in inconvenience and sweaty grimy hassle. Take a limo... think of it as an amusement park ride... it might be the highlight of your trip.

First of all you're nuts in general for taking the bus system in the touristy places for Vegas. That's first off so we're on the same playing field.. now, you're just certified insane if you're taking the Deuce to Fremont. (one "e" in Fremont) Get yourself to an SDX stop. Either walk or Monorail it to Paris and then walk all the way to the front of the casino again to take the Express (SDX) to get to the Downtown Fremont Street Experience. Or Downtown. Or Fremont for short. The Extra hassle is worth it to avoid the double trip time on the Deuce all the way up there. It's far and they don't move the bus (they think they're all that and actually have the gaul to proudly call it their "coach." *rolls eyes. They don't care about keeping a schedule, and are more about getting the money.. It's packed, hot, and at peak times, miserable. at best. It used to be only the deuce that was this way, but the SDX is getting that way now too.. You could monorail it to Sahara Station and walk down to street level and you'd be close to the SDX stop at street level, would be your best bet if going by bus. But then you have to buy the pass for the rail and use it with the bus. Honestly, its not as packed on the monorail but it's an extra expense. And FYI, the monorail does -not- go to Stratosphere as you said. Sahara station is as far as she goes to where you're goin that's close.. It goes to the LVH but that's far from an SDX stop as is the Convention Center. It's closer but not as close and right there as is Sahara. People are right, just rent a limo or bus. $60 an hour or so for a group of 8. MR? For 6 you could get by with a regular limo, but with 8, you'd need a super stretch. And it's absolutely true not all 8 might get on the same bus if you went that way. It's push and shove and fight your way on a lot of times.. $8 for a 24 hour pass or $6 per 2 hr ride.. but you'd have to get back so I don't know anyone who would pay the $6, so realistically, it breaks down to this: $8x8=$64 roundtrip plus Monorail costs. Varies, but $12 per person per day. $12x8=$96 So that totals $160 all day for 24 hrs. Or if you only went there and back then $80 one way. If you could hire your van, that would be more convenient. Or two cars. But it could be costly. You'd need enough for deposits. They like to do $200-$300 per day, jerks. That's unusual, but that's Vegas. And then hassle with them trying to make claims that damages were made. So do the initial inspections very well when you pick up the car.. You could get a bus for $60/hr. And then do it that way. Or a super stretch for $80/hr.. so you can fit you all in. Then get another back to the Strip.. Just be well aware. You will not be in a good mood for the show if you take the Deuce all the way up there. At best and if you really need to save that money, Take the Deuce in front of Harrah's just to Wynn/Fashion Show and then get on the SDX/Express from there to take the way up. And FYI, if you're going to be there for 3 days or more, best to just buy a 3 day and save $4 per ticket. If you do it day by day, not all the credit card machines work on the kiosks and they're tempermental in the Vegas sun. Save you time and effort either way. If you're doing 15 days, best to buy a 15 day pass at like Albertsons or other pass sales outlets. But that was based on 8 that you said originally, ten now, it gets harder. Stick together. But really. Rent a couple of cars. Easier than loading a van, more comfortable, and less hassle to park. Just don't let the companies scam you with "damage" that was already there on the car.. Presidential, Bell-Trans, many airport transfer companies operate passenger transport services as well. I would avoid Showtime however. They just rub me the wrong way. Seems like they use their shuttle buses a lot so you'd likely get an old workhorse, used and abused. and not as clean. See them all over the Vegas strip all the time. Vegas is full of hassles. Generally if you're not a seasoned pro, just spending the money is better for a better experience and less headache. That one dude was right. Pitch in for the limo on the way in and SDX it back is the best way. Honestly, if you're not about drinking because these are mentally retarded persons or they are going to a free show on the Experience or what not, a taxi is only slightly cheaper than a limo but there is a chance he could try to take advantage. Although most are very fair. Some are less than kind hearted though. According to the website Taxifarefinder, it's only $25 more or less to Fremont from Harrah's so long as he takes the freeway. The Strip can jam up bad. Get a couple of taxi vans, pile them all in for one price and go. Unless they started charging for more than one person now.. SO two Taxi's is $50 if you can fit them all in two. And so then might as well try for the super stretch for just $10-15 more. Like what Bell-Trans says in their webpage..

Looks like you're pretty much sold on the idea of taking the Deuce, do it, is cheap, fun and although it could be crowded, it will be worth the little money you'll spend, besides, you can see where it stops for your trip back to the strip.
Vegas with a metro would be super, nothing major, just two lines that cross each other like in Rome, from Aliante to The M and from Red rock to Sam's Town.....mmmmm !

Like others have said, book a limo yourself or have the valet arrange one. It costs $8 per person to get a 24 hour RTC pass for the busses. Then, if it is busy, you wait in the heat for a bus, you crowd on, and you sit while it makes a bunch of stops. That, to me, is not a fun way to spend my pre-show time with friends. Have everyone kick in for the limo ride going to the show at least. Going back, the group may split up and do different things, so some could take the bus some cabs etc. Also, the monorail runs to the defunct Sahara/SLS site so there is not much around there when you get off as far as cabs and such. If you take a bus to the show, be sure to allow plenty of time.

With all these responses, I think it's important to ask, is "MR folks" a typo or regional slang or does it mean what I thought it did when I read it (mentally retarded)? Because if you've got over half a dozen disabled people that you need to ferry as a group then probably paratransit makes more sense over The Deuce.
