Romantic Dinner

Started by JeffinOKC on Monday, 26th July 2010 8:04 pm

Need a little help here, my wise group of Las Vegas Lovers; my beautiful, youmg wife would like to have a romantic dinner for our anniversary next month. Criteria are-after dark view of the city, candle light, piano music and not a weird shit nouveau menu. Downtown is OK, but the Stratosphere probably isn't. Any ideas?

You can't go wrong with the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris - beautiful views of the Bellagio fountains in a very romantic setting. Another excellent option is Mix at the top of The Hotel (Mandalay Bay). Terrific views looking up the strip, and great food and atmosphere as well!!

Might want to consider having pre/post dinner drinks at the Mandarin Bar and dinner at a different location, note that there is a dress code and it's pricey but it will definitely impress on a special occasion.

I've always been disappointed with the food/service at any of the places that offer dramatic views, Alize was a rip-off,and at the Eiffel Tower they treated me like I had just rolled off the turnip truck, so I've sworn off places with the fancy views.

Mix, Eiffel, Foundation Room, Alize, Nove, Twist, Guy Savoy, Morels, Range Steakhouse, Voodoo Steak & Lounge. Aside from the Strat, I think this is all of them with a view of the strip. There is a wide range of cost and quality.

Picnic in a pocket park?

Vic and Anthony's Steakhouse at the Golden Nugget. Great food, great atmosphere and loose slots for afterwards.
