Hey everyone:

I've been reading this site for years, but just now got around to joining the site!

I figured you would be interested in my brief review of a Loft Suite @ Hotel 32 I posted on my friends website (my other hobby is visiting theme parks).

Check it out @

Thanks for the posting. The price has certainly come down and at $300 for the Loft rooms is really a bargain.

It's a nice room, but a nice room in a middle class resort. Don't get me wrong, I like the MC. It's clean, got fucking friendly as hell staff, nice eateries, a damn fine coffee shop, and is the only property with covered connection to Aria.

The problem with a place like Hotel 32 is just that, place. For the same price you can get a wonderful corner suite at Aria, a Panoramic Suite at Snoozedara, or a Salone Suite at Bellagio. Sure they don't have quite as much floor space, but they feel like high-end resorts. MC is nice, but it just doesn't scream boutique hotel quality after you hit the elevator lobby.

A great experiment in design, a modern biosphere for the high rollers in the regular world that is the Monte Carlo, I'd choose running where when I get on the floor I feel the same as in the room. Even at Encore the regular rooms have a taste of the feel you'd get in a Villa or Apartment, but Hotel 32 neglects all around it, and seems lost to me.

I've never had any issues with having the Big Fish Room at a cheaper hotel. At least as long as the room is decent (seen the big rooms at Excalibur, no dice at that price.)

The stuff at the bottom floors are pretty much the same to guests and non-guest alike with certain exceptions, and the positive to Monte Carlo especially is that the elevator bank is by the lobby and the mallwalk to Aria, so you don't even have to step foot into the casino if you really hate it.

A salone suite at wynncore is usually $800.00 to $1050.00 nitely.
I've stayed there several times.
If you decide to go get the cherry/chocolate (marble is blk and chocolate) combo. It's awesome. And unfortunately not $300. a nite.

Hotel32 is a product of The Monte Carlo: Enough said. No matter how plasticky the room might be, as soon as you're off the elevator, you're back to the depression that is the MC. Not for me.

I guess the allure of a limo ride and 'private elevator' isn't enough to get me to ever consider it. Just seems like a tackier version of what SkyLofts tries to be.

You're one of Robb's buddies?

That guy will ride just about anything, no matter how unsafe it looks or how shady it's operator seems. There could be a coaster called The LimbBreaker and run by a company in bankruptcy court and he'd STILL go on it, AND take a camcorder.

I couldn't keep up with all their reports and travels (and honestly, any mere mortal reading them for long will eventually become envious at all their vacations) but that guy has big, brass ones.

Yeah. I've known him for quite awhile now...Been all around the world with him and his wife! Between Vegas and their trips, I have about $10 left over by the end of the year after paying all my bills!

As for me, aside from the annoying as hell frank caliendo ad repeatedly playing in the elevator...I don't have a problem with Monte Carlo. Good location (I primarily play at MGM properties), decent enough food (I like Brand, The Pub, and Diablo's), and they have caribbean stud. I sort of enjoy how boring the casino floor really is.
