Avoid.
I was greatly surprised by the size of this buffet. Being CP, I figured the buffet would be huge. Not so. The food quality was okay (not that you can expect too much from a buffet).
The harrahs buffet was much larger. Something about that just doesn't seem right.
Anyways, go back out to the strip. Walk South. Go in Bellagio. Go to their buffet. Marvel at their crab legs cut with laser-like precision. You'll thank me later.
The Caesars buffet makes up in quality what it lacks in quantity. Most everything is just so well prepared, there is no comparison to the other buffets. They used to automatically bring this big platter of cold seafood to your table, and thank goodness they've stopped, I'd rather serve up just exactly what I want, not feel obligated to sit there and peel shrimp every time I go there. They don't always have the same food out, which is part of the appeal. Look for: sweet potatoes, risotto, mixed wild mushroom saute, pinto beans (yes, they were really special), and a nice assortment of breads and rolls. Don't neglect the array of hot dishes ranged across from the buffet, there are some gems in there, and the honey almond bars (made with sliced almonds) in the dessert section or small round cookies coated with pinon nuts. This buffet isn't going to appeal to everyone, but something about the restraint with which the food is presented gives it a feeling of being prepared with more care and passion.
