We went to Jayde Fusion at 9PM on Saturday night. I had forgotten how long a drive it was, but by that time, the restaurant was pretty empty.

A young Asian lady (wait staff) took our order for drinks (tea). They brought out a set of boxes containing a set of really “funky” teas. No oolong or jasmine to be found. I tried Peach Fusion, and my buddy tried the Bombay Blend. Not what I am used to, but it was drinkable.

Then, for some strange reason, they switched wait staff on us. We didn’t know if it was the “vibe” that we gave off or what, but we were given to a young Korean male waiter. Note that we are Asian, but both Chinese-American.

Twice we asked if the Chef was working that night. The first time he said “Yes, he’s working”. The second time I asked for clarification and stated that I was referring to Mrs. Longest and he replied that she was working. Both times he asked if we wanted to speak with the chef and both times we declined. The second time I mentioned that we were there to show our support for her and wanted to try out her restaurant.

There is also a sushi bar but we passed and went to the menu.

I ordered the kalbi ribs and the spicy Korean seafood noodle soup. My friend ordered the rock shrimp and Samgyeopsal Lettuce Wraps from the “Restaurant Express” section, where she serves items that she used on the show. The lettuce wraps were so-so.

All of the food was very, very good. My only "complaint" was that the spices were "toned down". Next time I will ask for "spicy"

Afterward, the waiter brought the chef out and we got to meet her briefly, we thanked her for the meal and wished her luck.

Dinner was about $70.00 including tip. Which, for a restaurant experience that nice, was well worth it.

Be advised that Seonkyoung Longest is no longer cooking at Jayde Fusion, according to M Resorts

"Following much success in opening Jayde Fuzion, executive chef Seonkyoung Longest will be moving on to pursue additional opportunities in the culinary industry," a press release from the M Resort states.

A new chef has not yet been named. I do not know how this will affect the cuisine at this restaurant.
