One of the first celebrity chef restaurants in Las Vegas outside of Wolfgang Puck. Delmonicos is a very good steakhouse, there maybe better steakhouses in town, but for the quality, consistency and value, I'll typically recommend it as the best at combining the three. All of my meals there whether anniversary dinners or lunches during a trip have always been very good. And save room for the dessert, as the only reasons in my opinion to go to Emeril's seafood, the banana cream pie and pecan pie, are available here too. Skip the seafood shop, grab a steak and stick around for dessert.
The perils of eating alone is that sometimes you just feel like you missed something. The restaurant was empty when I ate there. The steak was prepared with an excellent (and I do mean) excellent seasoned crust that I have tried to replicate on many an occasion. The rest was only so so. I paid extra for a pepper brandy steak sauce, with tasted neither of pepper or brandy. Maybe I caught them on an off night or my expectations were incorrectly set. Come here with more people. As a loner I got seated at a four top by myself and regretted the long pauses of loneliness between service.
A special eveing with a group of us turned out very nice. Loved the caesar salad and chateaubriand prepared at our table. They handled our group with light heartedness but excellent service giving in to our every whim.
