Possibly the first chef to be labeled a 'Celebrity Chef', Wolfgang Puck offers up his version of the American Bar and Grill. The menu has some of his classic options - from pizzas and pastas to burgers and steaks. He also threw in some oysters for good measure.

Postrio was a surprising destination on my recent trip to Las Vegas in June 2010. My father and a friend wound up coming here due to a comp offer that my father had received in conjunction with his hotel stay. The restaurant is located at the Grand Shoppes area.

Service: Waitstaff was excellent with emphasis on the drinks being filled often.Atmosphere: We sat in the "patio" area of the restaurant. It makes for decent people watching, but it is very loud due to the nearby entertainers and the large amount of people walking by.

Food: With the comped meal came a predetermined dinner for two. A choice of salad, entree and a sole dessert were presented in a limited menu. For the salad, I ordered the Caesar, the entree I ordered the Salmon with roasted veggies. The salad was presented in a unique way that I rarely see, an entire leaf of romaine lettuce covered in the usual, topped with an Anchovy. Pretty tasty. The entree had the usual fare of Salmon where nothing stood out. However, the vegetables that accompanied the fish was something rather surprising - the taste actually outdid the fish itself! Very good. The dessert I did not taste because I don't have a sweet tooth and gave to the friend, which he chomped down on and stated that it was very tart.

The limited menu was pretty good, and I wouldn't mind coming back here to see how the rest of the menu fares.

It's been many years since I visited Postrio, but there are things I remember very well from the visit. The patio area that extends into the indoor mall is a great spot to dine and is where I sat during the meal that I had. While I'm sure the menu has been updated since I've been there the food was very good and came very close to providing value based on the price of the meal, which I'd estimate as a bit high, comparatively speaking for Vegas.

The pumpkin soup and ravioli I had were incredible and if I was passing by through the mall, I'd definitely take a look and see if they were offered and stop in.
