ARIA sent out a phenomenal promotional deal yesterday that only gets better when you dig into the fine print.

Offering rates of $129 midweek / $159 weekend isn't really that awesome even if you tack on a free upgrade to the City View room (the Strip side, not Vdara side). $50 to upgrade to the gorgeous floating-in-air Corner Suite for the wham bam prices of $179 / $249? That's hella awesome, particularly since Corner Suites (until very recently) were retailing for about $400/night.

Want even more luxury? For $150 and you get a One Bedroom Suite...

» WOW: ARIA Suite Deal of the Century!

It's alive... ALIIIIIVE!

Seemingly out of nowhere, the financially challenged Cosmopolitan has launched a brand new website!

Aside from the "It's NOT for Everyone" tagline - which sounds more like an blanket excuse than a declaration of exclusivity - there isn't a helluva lot to sink your teeth in.

The grainy, gritty, gothic vibes in the photography are interesting in a 'bastard child of Opeth and The Smiths' album covers' kinda way. What would be infinitely more interesting would be if this gritty indie goth haunted house vibe is an actual indication of what the interiors of the resort will...

» Cosmopolitan Lives!

I've made no secret of my love for the Las Vegas Hilton, even though it may brand me as a middle-aged businessman traveling for a conference instead of a middle-aged Boozehouse traveling for a love of the drink and to exercise his swift, if blurry, eye at Jacks or Better. Judge me if you'd like; I've been there enough that it just feels like home. Good memories abound of Star Trek: The Experience, of mocking The Scintas (and then later, feeling nostalgic about The Scintas), of honing my mad vp skillz on their full-pay machines, of busting...

» Hunting Fox & Hound

Boardwalk Empire

Just when we were getting ready to give HBO the old heave ho, they went and released the trailer for Boardwalk Empire. "Was ist das?" asks my inner German nanny. Das, as it turns out, is the moonchild of Soprano's producer/writer Terrence Winter, Martin Scorsese and "Marky" Mark Walberg.

To ensure added success, Scorsese directed the pilot, with rumors of him taking the helm on a couple more. Toss in some Steve Buscemi, gorgeous photography and art direction and you got this old girl wishing for fall to get here sooner rather than later.

Based on the book Boardwalk...

» Boardwalk Empire

I'm very proud to announce that we've completely redesigned and rebuilt m.VegasTripping.com, our miniature version of VegasTripping built specifically for new generation mobile devices like iPhones, Droids, Palm and Blackberrys.

The first version of m.VT, launched in June of 2009 was little more than us dipping our toes into the mobile programming sea. Version 2.0 of m.VegasTripping.com is our wading in waste deep. We've got thousands of features we'd like to add to the site and have ideas for thousands more.

Before we start on a little pictorial tour, I would like to thank Mr. MinVegas aka Mike_Ch...

» The New m.VegasTripping.com
