Just a note to those tuned into the RSS and/or Twitter feeds that we've posted a new feature article, the first of a two part, two suite reviews of everybody's favorite Las Vegas casino - Vdara.

Oh wait, Vdara doesn't have a casino. Riiiiight.

Anyways, VT reader LAvegasphile stopped by recently for an extended stay which found him inside a Vdara Hospitality Suite AND a Vdara Penthouse Suite, BOTH of which he has thoughtfully documented for us in text and photographic form.

We've gone and posted the first of these - the Vdara Hospitality Suite - and will...

» New Feature Posted: Vdara Hospitality Suite Review By LAVegasphile

ARIA: Entrapment

ARIA has unfurled the third installment in their film festival, entitled Entrapment.

In this episode, we see a model in black bathing suit frolicking in the pool as a mannequin in a khaki suit oogles from shore. When the woman exits the pool futzing with her bluetooth device, the guy in the suit jumps into the pool (from the second step - ha!) assuming that the damsel needs assistance finding an earring at the bottom of the pool.

Instead, he arrives with an earring which she - in an extremely uncomfortable display of lousy acting - offers up...

» ARIA: Entrapment

The Not Steve Wynn Show

Speaking of questionable casting, Misnomer tweet tipped us towards Wynn's latest spokesmo "Dani Diiorio" (who dropped her first name 'Brittney') Is this the most unhip fake hip presenting ever? It kinda makes "Vegas In 5" look like The Godfather Part II.

A mouthful of sand. Dragging rusty metal on concrete. Nails on a chalkboard. Chewing aluminum foil. Anal pimples.

The hogwash about how the pinnacle of creation only exists at Wynn Las Vegas only works when Steve Wynn says them, not this rat on helium getting a haircut with a weedwacker. BRO.

Mirage Lanai YouTube'd

When I walked through The Villas at The Mirage a couple years ago before they began their excruciatingly slow renovation process, I was instantly taken aback when stepping into one of the smaller Lanais. Don't get me wrong - I'll take a proper Villa with that humungous yard any day, but if I were a comp conscious high roller on a solo bender, the Lanai would just be so... um... perfect.

It was nearly 1800 square feet but felt intimate, frilly but not like a museum where you'd be afraid to touch anything, and just ultra luxurious in the...

» Mirage Lanai YouTube'd

Holy Crap: They Fixed Crystals!

After years of irritating patrons with useless dead ends, the bozos at Crystals have finally rectified the horrible interior promenade design by smashing through some retail spaces and making the passageways navigable.

YAY!

And to think that the Crystals design won an award from the "International Council of Shopping Centers" last year. Obviously they judged based on renderings not actual customer experience.

Hooray! Now it only takes 14 hustle filled minutes to get from The Strip to ARIA instead of 25 headbashingly frustrating ones.

Big thanks to VT staffer JohnH for the pictip!
...

» Holy Crap: They Fixed Crystals!
