The best place to play downtown. If nothing more than the history of the place and the people that have walked through those doors. I know it's not the same place anymore that "Suitcase Man" William Lee Bergstrom gambled at and the Binion family is long gone but still a fun place to play craps and drink while admiring the people of downtown.

I love the pool. Great views! You often have it to yourself! And you can bring your own booze! It's like a private pool! Wait, so why am I telling you this?

Can't beat Binions...
The south Building used to be The Mint hotel. Binion's is one of my Favorites. Plus they have photos of Stu Unger on thier walls..

Binion's has really been upgrading lately and going old school with fun books and free play. Make sure you check out the specials. Back in February, I got $20 in free play coupon, free beer coupon and a $10 match play. Plus, they had a promotion to get a free picture taken with a million bucks cash.

Still one of my favorite spots Downtown even with the hotel side closed (although reports are that they are renovating the rooms and may reopen in the near future). I miss the old Binion's Coffee Shop (The converted snack bar they call the coffee shop is not the same.) though.

Actually a nice small casino in downtown. Food in the Binion's Coffee Shop (which is in the basement) was surprisingly good and cheap!!

It's so much fun to gamble at Binion's, you barely notice you're playing 6:5 blackjack. Seriously, find a hopping craps game here and hang on for a great time. Great cocktail service, great coffee shop and sports bar.

I stayed there a couple times. Once before the Horseshoe branding was removed. Once right after. Both times I was able to get rooms for $25-30/night. They are passable places to sleep, but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time hanging out in them. Because Downtown is my favorite area to play, Binion's has been a fave of mine for a while. Even when they had the country trollops carting around the casino doing songs. Corny, but a fun change of pace. Frankly, this place has always felt the most like I expected from a gambling hall. Low ceilings, dark, old and wizened dealers and waitresses (like the short, big-haired woman who turns up in EVERY show on Vegas), serious craps players at all hours. The post-trollop layout changes are not my favorite, but I'll cope. Our family tradition is to go to the snak bar first thing and get one of the heaping bowls of beef stew. Now that Al (the dude in charge of the snack bar) has retired, I may have to develop a new tradition. Huzzah to Al.

They had double-deck blackjack that paid 3 to 2 for $5 a hand with good rules when I played there in July 2008. That is the main reason I like this place. It feels like a classic.

To bad I will never get the chance to stay here, but such is life.

Benny Binion saved my butt quite a few times over the years with his generous loans to me back during my years running Vegas World. Too bad his daughter had to screw the whole thing up.

Binions casino is old Vegas at its best. Interesting blend of locals and tourists, low limits and lots of action. Love this place, great drink service. Look for Priscilla, a senior cocktail waitress who looks like a miniature Dolly Parton. She's so much fun and keeps the drinks flowing.

Binion's is where I enjoy playing Craps down on Fremont Street. Usually you can find a spot at a $5 table and enjoy yourself.

This is an Old school palace. It's small but the fact you can gamble where so many great people have is sweet.

Comfortable joint with plenty of action and decent drink service. Large enough so it never has felt over-crowded to me. There is a great lounge in the back near the sport's book serving the 4Q's micro brews and good pub grub.

Decent old-fashioned country-theme gambling joint. The dealers and pit bosses just ooze experience and wisdom. Now, they do have the cowgirl dealers at both the bjackjack and craps tables, but when they come out (usually around early evenings), that's when they also jack up the table minimums, so be careful there. Didn't do any blackjack here, but I do recall it is 6/5, now. Of notable interest is that this was the only place that still has double-deck handheld blackjack, which is something you don't see anymore. I'd like to stay here, but they need to reopen the hotel in order or that to happen :)

The hotel is closed now, but when it was open, it was a trip back in time because you could imagine when this old gal was prom queen. The casino has always depressed me, and the parking garage is disgusting and really difficult to find your way around in. The Fremont has this place beat, hands down.
