Real Deal on the Circus Circus
Circus Circus is like a dirty diaper... warm, comfortable and a little stinky, unless you're not the one who soiled it. The ol big top is cute beast, part flea market, part human petting zoo and monument to an epoch of bad taste... Now. This isn't to say that Circus Circus doesn't have good qualities... A fine steakhouse, cheap hotel rooms and the trashfabulous SlotsAFun annex, but the question for most trippers is how much of the unwashed masses can you withstand.
Are the vibes lucky at Circus Circus?
Clowns are kinda creepy. The casino is nice once you've gone in there and colored up at a table, but for some reason, we equate Circus Circus with children more than gaming. If it weren't for Dr. Hunter S. Thompson giving us a fresh perspective on this joint, we'd probably never go there. The Midway features carnival games area, acrobat shows, clowns and a Krispy Kreme shop to keep kids occupied... parents can gamble away downstairs. The Adventuredome out back is jam packed with roller coasters and other thrill rides.
Most often overheard phrase at Circus-Circus: "Kids, here's a roll of quarters and a key to the room... i'll see you in a coupla days." Or maybe that was just me.
What casino games are offered at Circus Circus?
The Circus Circus casino is broken up into three distinct gaming areas (which isn't the easiest casino to navigate through when your half-in-the-bag). Slots are everywhere (including a revolving merry-go-round) and there is BlackJack, Craps, Roulette, Big Six, PaiGow, Caribbean Stud, Let It Ride, Casino War and a small poker room just to the left of the main entrance.
Does Circus Circus have casino comps?
Good early preparation for gambling for the young'ns. Get them dropping their quarters into the Chicken Launcher until they can trade up for Three Card Poker when they come of age.... kidding.
