Real Deal on the Excalibur
Much like Circus-Circus we'd like this joint more if there weren't so many kids running around. We're partiers not family peeps, so the Excalibur dosen't really cater to our sensibilities. There aren't as many kids as at Circus-Circus though. Compared to its connected-by-a-monorail neighbor LuXor, the Excalibur has gambling in spades. Lots of table games, a festive and less sterile atmosphere and some very playable slots. Still, stumbling around a Vegas-styled replica of Ye Olde Merry Kingdom with a ferocious buzz on is still a goofy and wonderful experience.
Are the vibes lucky at Excalibur?
The Excalibur is a recreation of an fairy-tale style kingdoms castle from the Middle Ages. Knights, rogues, magicians and other Dungeons and Dragons creatures abound around every corner. The gaming area is bright and groovy and the nickel to high limit slots are sure to please nearly everyone. We've had good luck here at the blackjack tables as well as the Wheel of Fortune Slots. One notable is the Hundred or Nothing slot machine. Either you win a hundred bucks or you win squat. Three out of our party of four won $100 within 10 spins on these machines. Kick ass! Update: don't bother looking for this machine, it's gone now. Boooo!
What casino games are offered at Excalibur?
The Excalibur offers slots from .01 to $100 a pull. (Benjamin slots are a bit too rich for us... yo!) Table games include: PaiGow, Caribbean Stud, Let It Ride, Big Six, Mini-Baccarat, Roulette, BlackJack and Craps. They also offer a poker room: Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold 'Em, Bad Beat Jackpot and Jackpot Money Wheel. Keno and a full Race and Sports Book are also offered. Aye!
Does Excalibur have casino comps?
Excalibur is connected to the MGMMirage Players Club. You can use points accrued here to get discounts and offers at any of the MGMMirage properties which include Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York New York, Monte Carlo, City Center, LuXor and Mandalay Bay.

i stayed here last June , mostly for the low price , 2 nights. The room was clean but like Harrah's it makes you want to hit the Casino. Check in was a breeze , and we had a room facing the MGM sign. The whole midevil theme feels a little to childish to really let lose and party , we spent most of our time in the nearby casinos like MGM

From the outside this place is super lame but ya know?.. On the inside it's not too bad and it's darned fun (just stay off the 2nd floor where the kiddies are.) The rooms are smal and plain but hey, you can get em for a song.

Rooms are barebones Vegas style..headboards screwed to the wall, how tacky is that?Oh yeah, how 'bout the moving walkway in with the non-moving one out...tackier still. It was okay when we were poor and our child was young.
