Real Deal on the Harrah's
Harrah's slots are probably the worst in town. The drink service is equally as bad. Honestly, we've never won a cent in this casino, and not for lack of trying. Harrah's Las Vegas is a prominent member of the "don't waste your time" file. Pass.
Are the vibes lucky at Harrah's?
Pretty much your standard casino. We found it a little difficult to get comfortable, maybe the lights were too bright or something or the flow through the casino was cramped. Can't really pinpoint the problem. The table games seemed a little unapproachable too. Coulda been the party favors we were enjoying.
What casino games are offered at Harrah's?
Harrah's offers the entire shebang of slot machines as well as BlackJack, Craps, Roulette, Carribbean Stud, Let It Ride, PaiGow (with Bonus), a Poker Room, Baccarat and Mini-Baccarat. Their single and double deck blackjack games allow doubling on 8-11 only.
Does Harrah's have casino comps?
You can accrue Total Rewards points at any Harrahs casino worldwide (and on Mars)

Stayed at Harrah's twice. 2003 and 2005. The difference is that the first time they were a minor player in Las Vegas and the second time they owned the mighty Caesars Empire (Caesars, Ballys, Paris, and so on). One thing didn't change: The casino layout is silly. Another thing that didn't change: The casino bartenders were fairly cool. Oh one more thing didn't change: Carnaval Court, the outdoor bar/stage is still kind of fun. Oh and then there is the location......very nice! BUT......there is Toby Keith's bar, as I said a poor casino layout, a really subpar pool, and just a general feeling that they want your money so they can knock down places like the Imperial Palace, O'Sheas, Flamingo, and Bally's so they can build something really uninspiring. It's usually a decent price, but your money can be spent better elsewhere.

This March will be my 4th stay at Harrah's. The best part about Harrah's I feel is they have great room deals through their Total Rewards cards. I don't consider myself a huge gambler but I still can get a 4 night stay for a total of $80.The hotel itself is average, the location ideal. Yet it's clean, doesn't smell too bad and rooms are generally great for what I'm looking for. I also like that fact that it's easy to locate my room when I'm in a drunken stupor.

Let's be honest: You're staying at Harrah's because it's cheap and because of the location. And on those two fronts, the property does not disappoint. Everything else, on the other hand, is up for interpretation. The Good:- Rooms are clean and comfortable, if nothing special. As long as you're expecting a Holiday Inn rather than the Four Seasons, you will be fine. And you won't have to worry about being uncomfortable, as you might in any of the cheaper hotels.- The location really is great. You will have access to all that Caesar's, The Mirage and The Venetian have to offer, and shuttles will happily run you to Rio and Paris if you desire. And because Harrah's taxi stand is in the back of the building, you can easily run up and down Koval to get where you need to go. There's even a McDonald's next door if you're feeling the need to dig into some late (or early) greasy food to make the day better.- You should really hit the Mac King show in the afternoon. Harrah's tries to make it seem cheaper than it is - offering free tickets that require a drink purchase that will run you $15 or so, which isn't very free to me - but it's worth every penny. You won't get the production values of other Vegas shows, but you will find a great place to relax and cool down in the middle of the afternoon. I would argue that this is the best bet in Vegas right now, consistently funny and entertaining.- I'm not a country fan, but if you're looking for a place to wrap up the night after you get back, you can do worse than Toby Keith's bar on the second floor. Yeah, it would be 1000x better if they dropped the drink prices more in line with the decor and atmosphere, but the clientèle is there to have a good time and the space lacks the pretension of other Vegas spots. If you have spent the night getting shot down by hoochies who are checking out your watch instead of your awesome dance moves, spending time with a (mostly) wholesome country girl that you wouldn't be ashamed to take home to mom is an ideal remedy. The Bad:- Don't play here. The slots are terrible, the area is smokey, and the casino has no flair. If you are a low limit player, Casino Royale and O'Shea's will give you a taste of downtown right on the strip, and if you are a high-roller Caesar's is right across the street. Spend your money there. You might even get a drink in those places.- It is easy to feel like a sheep at Harrah's, given the layout. There are times when you will feel like they are just there to take your money after they wear down your defenses, and that's probably true. Your best bet is just to turn the tables on them, use them for their cheap rooms, and play elsewhere.Other Notes:- Consider asking to have the motion sensor attached to the thermostat turned off however - it can be hard to find an ideal temperature when things are always warm when you get back to the room.- If you have a group, there's no need to use the monorail. Koval behind the East side of the Strip is great for getting North and South quickly and cheaply, and unless you're shuttling from one end of the Strip to the other all day, you will save money using cabs.- Harrah's customers used to be able to access the Garden of the Gods pools at Caesar's. Not anymore. It's a shame too, because Harrah's pool is worthless.Enjoy your trip, and as always, Good Luck.

Nice hotel and did well on the slots. Would definitely stay there again.

I have not stayed here, thus I would not know if they hang dead cats in every closet. But as long as the "Triple Shot" game is in the Party Pit, I'll go here. the MOST FUN non-traditional casino game period.

Good strip location, for seniors, I like this location, if you don't have a car rental staying here is good because they have great shuttle options to all vegas harrahs properties, great way to get to rio for a night etc.

It's not too bad of a place to stay. My room wasn't too bad, but hell I thought the rooms at the Riv my first trip were nice. The gaming is a wee bit tight, but heck, I'd rather go over to O'Sheas anyway.

Not a bad place, good local, cheap like dirty water, right beside the best cheapest beer in town (Casino Royale), I'd go back

Rooms are well appointed but small. The casino is cramped and stuffy. But the drink service is awesome...actually too good considering the lack of bathrooms nearby. You get an idea of why Harrah's has been so successful because there are plenty of low/mid level rollers who are having the time of their lives here because they're getting comped. There's a fun vibe in a place where people are losing but still feel like they're coming out ahead of the game.

the rooms are clean, and lets be realistic, how much time do you spend in your Vegas room anyway...maybe 3 hours a day...dead center location...this place gets one extra dice fo the Party Pit and it's insanely addictive Triple Shot, fun dealers, and nearby bar in case the service gets slow

Harrah's is a middle of the road hotel in a great location. Perfect for those looking for a decent room at a decent price (You can get very good room offers if you sign up for their email offers.) I feel bad for anyone how has a room that face Carnival Court since the place is quite loud until late at night. The "deluxe" room I had was comfortable (I'm low-maintenance, so anything above the typical roadside motel is a step up.), but the view of the parking deck wasn't something I liked (Some desk agents will try to up sell a Strip-view room, mine didn't, but a friend of mine did spend the extra $10/night for a decent Strip view.). The only restaurant I've eaten at was Flavors, which is a pretty good buffet, albeit a bit pricey (thank goodness for the coupon in the funbook). I got there right before the mid-morning rush, the food was good.
