Real Deal on the Mandalay Bay
Mandalay Bay has a huge casino floor. If you're not sitting at a table, you may as well forget about getting drink service at your slot or video poker machine. Mandalay Bay has the worst casino floor drink service ever. Oh, and if your cash out ticket gets caught in the machine and you need assistance from a slot tech... you can pretty much forget that too. We've been trapped at a machine waiting to cash out on three occasions for about 15 minutes each (on separate trips no less). Horrible. The dealers are pretty nice though and drink service at the table games is quick and often.
Are the vibes lucky at Mandalay Bay?
The layout of the gaming floor is similar to Luxor, Green Valley Ranch and some others. A large circular gaming floor with concentric circles of slots leading to a ring of table games, with either a Baccarat area, a bar, or high limit slots in the center. One trip around the circle and you should get a pretty good idea of the limits on the games. Most often you'll find $10+ table games and an occasional nickelchip blackjack game on weekends. Mostly higher rollers here - $25 tables are plentiful. If thats too much for your blood, hop on over to the Excalibur or the Tropicana for some lower wager gaming excitement.
The dealers, for the most part are friendly, with the occasional ornery a-hole tossed in to the rotation to keep you awake. Dealers are helpful with strategy decisions, and will ask twice if you're making a stupid bet or call. All dealers like informed players... they don't want to take your money - losers don't toke.
What casino games are offered at Mandalay Bay?
Slots, Blackjack (double deck, 6 and 8 deck shoes + Lucky Ladies), Roulette, Craps, Three Card Poker, PaiGow, Carribbean Stud, Let It Ride, Race & Sports Book, Slots, Video Poker, Slots and some Slots.
Does Mandalay Bay have casino comps?
Players Club earns points at all MGMMirage properties.

At Mandalay Bay, the room sucked. One of the double sinks was backed up. Ended with an ashtray of a room after requesting a non-smoking room. A/C was screwed.Stayed @ THEHotel once, the room was awesome. Very clean, very spacious. The only complaint was the THE TP-it was like sandpaper.

It was in the lounge at this hotel where I turned 21, so I'll forever have a soft spot for this place. Other than that, I guess I love the eclectic atmosphere and various themes they offer, kinda like an ultra-chic Disneyland, but without all the evil.

I stayed here twice. I stayed in THEhotel and a suite in the original tower after the remodel. The remodeled rooms are nice, very uplifting tones in the room. I wanted to stay here to swim in the pool, but I never made it to the pool. I was way too hung over to be in the sun.

I stayed at THEhotel and it is alot nicer and friendly than people think. Great service, one of the chefs was on "Top Chef," it's right next to Mandalay Bay and Mamma Mia, you can use the pool, there is no casino i the lobby, alleviating our noses of so much smoke, and it's just great.

the only flaw to the Bay is a lack of a front entrance but overall the interior is casual and not intimidatiing. the shopping isnt bad and there is even a full service bookstore inside. if you are a fan of aquatic life then visiting the shark reef is a must.

The Mandalay Bay is the last place my family and I go to before we leave Vegas if we have extra time! I remember eat at a place there and was very good but I forgot. Oh well, very cool place.

Would probably be my second favorite place in Vegas if the location was even remotely decent.

While Mandalay is nice, THEhotel is where you want to be. Service is usually good and the rooms are excellent. Other than its own spa, expect to be heavily reliant on the facilities of Mandalay and other hotels.

Haven't stayed but have played here. Lots of fun. Really nice place to boot.

I guess this isn't exactly a great hotel by anyone's standards now, but it's the first place I stepped into and stayed at, and who doesn't appreciate their first resort? Also, THEhotel houses THEtoilet, the fanciest public restroom in Las Vegas.

not into the south seas themed motif? get a room on the 34th floor. they are known as house of blues themed rooms. staying at THEhotel isn't a bad choice either, very spacious. but i found a turd in my guest bathroom. it took 45 minutes for someone to reclean my room. ever since the merger with MGM-Mirage, the property has lost its luster. kinda sad really.

I have stayed here and at THEhotel, and I must say it is pure fun. The rooms at Madalay are on the small side, but still beautiful with a nice bathroom and appointed furniture. The pool is great, nit to mention huge and it's hard to find a spot on the beach. Mamma Mia is a great show and the restaurants are second to none. The new Mandalay Place is amazing, with my favorite (Urban Outfitters) and the 40 Deuce nightclub. I spent alot of money at Lush Puppy.
