| Cool Stuff | New York, New York was one of the first city 'replica' style joints on the strip. It is a one-third dramatization of the famous skyline, complete with the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and a roller coaster which takes you through the interior and exterior of the resort.

History of New York-New York
New York-New York Hotel Casino opened Jan 3, 1997 to more than 100,000 visitors in the first few days. New York-New York is currently in the beginning stages (early 2007) of transforming itself into a more 'adult' themed joint.
How are the rooms at New York-New York?
This seems to be a good old favorite for those nostalgic for the east coast. The rooms seem ok, if not a bit on the smaller side, but moderately priced. Weekend rates can run from $150 - $250 and mid week, $80 - $105 in the high season. They do have jacuzzi rooms, but they can sell out early if you don't watch it.
So the joint has a list of impressive awards, all which span a long list. What you should know is that NYNY has quite a few choices when it comes to rooms. Six, in fact.
- The Skyline, your standard 400-500 sqft room
- The Broadway, the standard plus some marble
- The Park Avenue Deluxe 300-400 sqft with marble
- The Spa Deluxe 400-500 sqft with spa tub in an isolated corner.
- The Marquis Suite 700 sqft marble tile entryway, hot tub, and sitting area and marble.
- The Players Room, 700-800 sqft "L" shaped suite, with Jacuzzi and marble.
What restaurants are at New York-New York?
Just like in The Big Apple, you can find a variety of eateries in New York, New York. Although not trend setting like Manhattan, you can find some old favorites. Got a hankerin' for a Nathan's Dog? You're in luck. If Chinese is your bag, you can get Paris Hilton's favorite at Chin Chin. Italian, American and good old basics are there for the picking as well. Plus the guys who sling pastrami sammitches in the deli are a bunch of snarky knuckleheads just like you'd find in Brooklyn. Gallagher's steakhouse has dry ages steaks, live lobsters, veggie options and great service (even if the wait takes forever).
The good folks at New York, New York ordered a Irish Pub - Nine Fine Irishmen - built in Ireland and shipped over, and had it installed inside the resort. Guiness on tap, obviously.
Where is New York-New York Located?
New York-New York is at the intersection of Tropicana Boulevard and The Strip... MGM Grand, Excalibur, Tropicana are the other resorts on the corner. Also within reasonable walking distance are LuXor, Monte Carlo and the yet-to-open CityCenter casino.

Actually, yeah, we do: Nudie Contortionists and Carnies. Zumanity, 'a provocative exhibition of human sensuality, arousal and eroticism'.
They have a satellite registration/hotel check-in facility at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport from 9 a.m - 11 p.m. daily. Located in south baggage claim near the exit from the C and D gates.
Really enjoyed staying here, the rooms are a decent size, the pool is essentially a cement pond, the casino vibe is alright, the restaurants are great, the bars are first class.The bar at times square - great service and the dueling pianosBig Apple Bar - kick-ass classic rock and roll courtesy of the band Phoenix (PS the guitar player is Jimmy Crespo from Aerosmith circa late 70's early 80's). They are probably the most talented cover band I have ever seen.Nine Fine Irishmen - It was kind of a young crowd and we were kinda drunk so we did not stay long. Nice pub though.Coyote Ugly - Hot chicks dancing on the bar and cold beer. Need I say more.I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed again recently at NYNY. The service from the staff was outstanding however the renovations they are doing seem to be losing the great atmosphere that the casino once had. They have closed the Gaming on the Green area, closed the Big Apple Bar and removed the water feature and bridge from the front of Il Fornaio. I am not passing judgment yet but will likely not stay there or gamble there again. Just seems like the trend of casino homogenization is moving into NYNY.

Always have fun at NYNY. The casino has the most fun vibe. Gallagher's has great steaks!

Fun place to take groups. Smaller casino but not too small. Crappy restaurants but you can get greasy slices of pizza 24/7. Big Apple Bar is a fun spot. Always have a great time there.

the exterior is impressive and that opinion doesnt change much once you get inside. the dining area is well laid out and right in the casion area so you can get a steak, have some irish fare or get a nathan's pretzel. the coyote ugly bar is nice but if you are looking to buy a souveneir for an older person forget it.

Staying at NYNY was great. If you get a chance to see Phoenix at the Big Apple Bar you are in for a kick-ass classic rock good time!

Did it. Done that. Wasn't totally impressed. I'd still probably go back to ride the roller coaster and eat at Nathan's.

I like it , it's one of my favorites its a fun upbeat atmosphere. There is music kicking all the time. The tables are good as well as the slots. The food is good they got apizza place that is soem of the bedst pizza pie on the west coast, the dueling paino bar rocks. Staff is friendly. Coyote ugly Howlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. Nevfer stayed there it cost to much but is your staying near the cluster of MGM,Tropicana,Excalibur and Luxor definitely spend sone time here.
