History of Orleans
One of the best of the off-strip locals joints, The Orleans was purchased from Coast Casinos by Boyd Gaming in 2004.
How are the rooms at Orleans?
Nice clean rooms at a great price. If you don't mind staying away from the action and like something a little bit quieter (compared to Hard Rock, Palms or Rio) the Orleans is a great place to stay. Rooms range from $55 midweek to $129 for special event weekends (tournaments etc).
What restaurants are at Orleans?
Orleans offers numerous dining options including Canal Street for steaks & seafood, Prime Rib Loft for even more steak, Big Al's Oyster Bar, French Market Buffet (open till 10pm), Don Miguel's Mexican food, Courtyard Cafe 24 hr coffee shop, Koji Sushi Bar and China Bistro because all asian food can be lumped under one roof, TGIFridays, Seattle's Best Coffee (which it isn't), Subway, Kate's Korner (we refuse to patronize any establishment that can't spell), and Terrible Mike's snack bar. All good food, reasonably priced... good value.
Where is Orleans Located?
Orleans is located on Tropicana Blvd 2 miles west of the strip, off the beaten track. Expect to take a taxi to the strip, expect there to be nothing within walking distance at all.
Exclusive Tips for Orleans:
Terrible's Wine & Spirits stocks a ton of booze. A great place to stock up... open 24-7!! The Orleans also has a 70 lane bowling alley, with full service pro-shop and rentals.

Stayed at The Orleans two nights and loved it. Plenty of restaurants, good gambling. Drink service was great everywhere but the sports book. Rooms were clean, had a good view of the mountains. Going back in July.

I am always lucky at the Orleans so I always go back. I don't like the rooms because I didn't like hanging my clothes in the bathroom and I prefer to have a safe in my room. The lights were not very bright in the bathroom or at the table in the room where I put on my makeup
