Red Rock - The Real Deal :
Red Rock is a very pretty property and one of the few locals targeted joints that we would consider spending the night at. The problem is that there there is squat to do out there other than goof around the video poker centric casino, bake by the pool or go to a movie. If you're looking for a resort getaway, that has a casino but none of the bustle Red Rock is a good option.
Red Rock History
After much fanfare and opposition from locals, Red Rock Resort opened on April 19th, 2006. The hype says it's as good as anything you'll see on the Strip. With construction costs topping off at $925 Million Dollars, one can only visit and see for yourself.
Location of Red Rock:
Red Rock is located way out on the far west end of the Las Vegas valley. You are NOT in walking distance of anything out there other than strip malls and other local businesses. The Red Rock park is a short drive away.
The Rooms at Red Rock
Nice rooms, we'd never stay here though... too far from the action and the $25/day resort fee is a major buzz kill. The rooms look nice though.
Restaurants at Red Rock
Tons of dining options at Red Rock including: Ben & Jerry's, Cabo Mexican Restaurant, Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Fatburger Fast Food, Feast Buffet, Grand Cafe, Hachi, LBS: A Burger Joint Coffee Shop, Panda Express, Rubio's Mexican, Sandbar, Starbucks, T-Bones Chophouse, Terra Rosa, Tropical Smoothies, Villa Pizza, Yard House
Red Rock Tips
They have a movie theatre!

Wow - worth the trip for a 2 night stay. The deepest tub I have ever seen in a Vegas hotel. Great games, food and service.

one of the best experiences i had without gambling. everything was taken care of immediatley and with great precision. bit far from the strip but everything you would ever need can be found at this resort. cabs to the strip cost about 35-40 bucks. the best thing about this place is that spa access included in your $35 resort fee. there are also 12 different bars and lounges to drink at.

Like GVR but better. Very contemporary feel and lots to do. Fantastic rooms and great staff.

Stayed at Red Rock for three days where the primary activity was golf. There are many great golf courses close to Red Rock. Fantastic room with a view of Red Rock canyon, awesome pool, hot cocktail waitresses and great bartenders at the sports book bar. We ate at Terra Rossa, The Feast Buffet, Grand Cafe and Turf Grill. They were all really good. Red Rock is a completely different Vegas experience, not as lively as the strip but a great overall experience.

Never been, but looks swanky as hell. If it was on the Strip I would pay all the money to stay there. I hear great things about Salt Lick, the BBQ joint at RR.

Get away from it all. Head west young man, head west. Located @ 215 and Charleston Blvd. Beautiful scenery of Red Rock Canyon only a few minutes away. Good blackjack action, a locals favorite hangout. Keep your eyes open, many Vegas celebs are spotted here.

Really like this Locals joint. Very new place and was very lucky here too. Buffet is great for the price.

Off strip with lot of luxury. Rooms are 4 to 5 stars, comfortable, roomy and a long walk if you get a room at the end of the hall. Decent buffet, decent casino, lousy drink service.
