Real Deal on the Sahara
The VT team has had some good luck at the Sahara's craps tables, but it's out-of-the-way location (dead end of the strip) means we pass on it more than we don't. If we're going to head to the end of the strip, we'll just keep going downtown, but with the Monorail going to the Sahara is easy peasy... and thats a good thing.
Are the vibes lucky at Sahara?
Classic Vegas gaming hall. A little less crowded than the Flamingo, with high ceilings, less gangster ghosts, groovy desert fixtures and more gold-plated papier-mache' camels than any place this side of the Nile river.
What casino games are offered at Sahara?
Slots, Video Poker, Keno, Race & Sports Book, Award winning Blackjack tables, Three Card Poker, Roulette, Spanish 21, Mad 21, No Bust Blackjack and more... Sahara has some of the friendliest dealers in Vegas. Check it out!
Does Sahara have casino comps?
All new Club Sahara signups get a free buffet AND $10 in EZMoney. What EZMoney does, we're not really sure. Redeem 200 Club Sahara points for $10 cash.

I like the blackjack here and that this place has to try harder because of its location. I've never felt like a king here, but the pit bosses and dealers make me feel like they're happy to have my business. The dinner buffet was average at best but it was $6.99 with a Sahara player's club card and there was roast beef and fried shrimp and drinks included, which felt like a pretty good deal. I would stay here one day. The only detractor is the location but the monorail is connected to it. Also, Speed: The Ride is worth it. Short ride but very fast and thrilling, especially when buzzed from downing Jack and Coke at the tables beforehand.

The Sahara is a nice midway point for folks like me who like to putter from the strip to downtown...and wander in the desert. Last time I stayed there the rooms were fine. Al I do is sleep in them anyway. And they had a functional balcony where you could watch the buzz of the strip. It seems a decent enough place.

The Sahara rooms are simple, inexpensive and clean. The casino is a little suspect in my opinion, although I do like the new roulette game that they have. The slots stink and the cocktail waitresses are hard to find, if they even exist. We visit the Sahara out of habit on our last day in Vegas.

Sixties style Vegas. Casino is dumpy and small. Rooms aren't too bad. Still has potential if the new owners do it right.

Sahara was the best and worst. March madness 08 was popping but no service due to new owners and just rude people working there. Room service was ok. We are the official chocolate cake and ice cream room service reviewers!

they have an awesome buffet at breakfast time for a very reasonable price plus they have a lot of .25 slots where you have the chance to win a car

Hotel of infamy, not worthy of one die. Recently sold, but under old management room service trays sat in hallways for weeks, the food options are inedible, and more than one giant bug was spotted on a three-night stay. Wouldn't wish the place on my worst enemy.

I visited the Sahara in 2005. The rooms were really clean, and most of the staff was pretty friendly. I cleaned up at the $5 black jack tables, but the dealers were rude as hell for the most part. I had one friendly dealer, but that was at the $25 table. I'm not that high of a roller, so I didn't stay at that table long. This site's review was correct in mentioning the oddness of a Nascar theme there. It doesn't really blend well with the Morrocan theme. The coolest thing about the hotel was the monorail station connected to it. That was awesome. $10 bucks for a 24 hour pass got me up and down the strip all night long. It's cheaper than staying on the south end, with easy access to the whole strip. You can't beat that. Whatever you do, don't walk from the Sahara to the Stratosphere at night unless you are looking to get mugged by a crackhead. Not a great neighborhood to say the least!
