Real Deal on the SLS Las Vegas
SLS Las Vegas took the classic bones of the Sahara and dramatically transformed it into a new property aimed directly at Los Angeles residents who are familiar with their L.A. chains of eateries and nightlife offering. The result is a resort which is having difficulty competing with larger, nicer properties in better locations with better nightlife offerings.
Are the vibes lucky at SLS Las Vegas?
The primary focus of the SLS appears to be food & beverage sales, with the sparse casino appearing to be an afterthought. Play is noticeably light during the week but picks up some on weekends. Quiet.
What casino games are offered at SLS Las Vegas?
The usual suspects of games are offered, slots in all denominations, blackjack, pai gow, three card poker, baccarat, craps and roulette.
Does SLS Las Vegas have casino comps?
SLS Las Vegas is pretty liberally giving out comps to former Sahara players as well as anyone with a 2nd tier or higher comp card level at other properties. Big players should contact casino marketing to get access to hosts... they want your business.

I was actually very impressed with the way the SLS turned out after being recontructed from the bones of the old Sahara. I do miss the Sahara, and wish it could have stayed, I think the SLS is a welcome addition to the north end of the strip.

The monkey decor rules.
The casino carpet rules.
The cotton candy foie gras rules.
The fact that they made a fun and funky gem instead of imploding the Sahara is what rules the most.
