South Point's casino is fun, bright, cheery and has a slight mid-century Southern California vibe to it. The staff is great and we've had great luck at the slots. Recommended for those looking to get off the strip for a stretch of time or those looking for a touch of elegance at a very affordable price.
South Point History
Opened on December 22, 2005 at a Cost of $600 Million dollars, the South Coast is intended mostly for locals from the Henderson area as well as filling the niche for "Budget Elegance." Within months of opening, South Coast was sold by its owners, Boyd Gaming, to Michael Gaughan, who renamed the joint South Point.
Location of South Point:
South Point is located about 3 miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard.... no, you can't walk there from Mandalay.

South Point features a 64 Lane Bowling alley for your Munson proclivities, you can also board and ride your horse at the South Point's equestrian center which attract lots of chicks in chaps. We like chaps... assless chaps.

South Point features an assortment of finely appointed, immaculate and tasteful rooms at some of the best prices you'll find anywhere. Guest rooms come in King and Dual Queen configurations and come with flat screen tv's, ipod docks, in room safes, pillow top mattresses, in room safe, coffee machine and ironing board. The big kicker is free shuttle service from McCarran airport, saving you about $50 right off the bat.

Pristine and Beautiful! UNTOUCHED! Just magnificent!
I fell in love! Played all day and wandered around this big wide open space and the entire staff was very very attentive! Let me in to see the arena and all the out of the way places.
Not like the others who wont even touch your change they took it all with a smile and didn't just say no and point to the coin star! Whats up with that!
Boo hoo to the joints on the strip! Shame on them.....This is well worth the trip down the strip!
Having heard from a local that they had published they were loosening up their slots I went to see for myself. Oh Boy Did they ever! I took a small bankroll and played all day And had plenty of cash to treat myself to the pound and a half King Crab Legs! Big Sur Rocks!
The best in Vegas hands down!
