THEhotel opened in 2003 as a boutique hotel tower addition to Mandalay Bay although it has its own valet entrance and parking garage. It shares the same dining, casino and entertainment options as Mandalay Bay.

The Rooms at THEhotel
THEhotel's hotel offerings feature some of the smartest and hippest features and designs of any hotel room in Las Vegas - plasma TV's, plush comfort furniture and bedding, contemporary decor, elegant bathrooms and much much moor. THEhotel offers three different types of suites - THEsuite (standard suite), V Suite a slightly larger version with different decor, THE H Suite, luxuriously massive with all the fixins plus a dining and living room area.
Restaurants at THEhotel
THEhotel itself offers two options for food/drinks... MIX, a restaurant / lounge located at the top of THEhotel's tower offers delicious French and American cuisine from Chef Alain Ducasse and tons of creative drink and snack offerings in their lounge. MIX also features the best view of Las Vegas you've ever seen. THElounge is a conveniently located and quite pretty bar in THEhotel's lobby.

Off the top, these are the things I like about TheHotel. It's adjacent to Mandalay Bay including a seperate entrance. For me personally this is a plus because if you know me, you would know that I like being close to things, but not too close. The exclusivity factor of TheHotel also appeals to me, which is something you notice as soon as you enter the building. The pace is slower than the rest of MB, its quiet, it smells like vanilla,(Pleasant fragrance to me is one of the most appealing characteristics anything can have period), and its decked out in contrasting off-white and black marble. This ground floor upon entry is equipped with its own cafe and bar/lounge, not to mention, the bathrooms are really nice. Other than that, the suites are really nice. TheHotel is a simple place. I mean thats why everything is called "The" whatever. It gives that little extra Umf for those who like the south strip, who like Mandalay Bay but want to stay in a nice suite.

The rooms are very modern and masculine, reminding me of a Studio in New York City. Nice rooms and great room service ... if you?re going to stay at Man-delay Bay, theHotel is the best way to do it.

Great rooms, very spacious, truly suites...meaning that the bedroom and living area can be closed off from one another. Swank and hip appointments and decor. Location sucks...too far south. Everything else on the strip is a long walk or a cab ride. But if you plan on staying in your room...I reccommend this property. If you like to "property hop" don't stay here.
