Las Vegas is amazing. It taps into everything I find interesting and fun in this world. I love architecture, change, competing, the thrill of winning, freedom to do as I please, and much more. I couldn't possibly say everything I love about Vegas in one place. It took probably 3-4 trips for me to go from casually interested to obsessed. These days, keeping up with the city is a hobby, as is anticipating every trip and even writing about it. I simply love Las Vegas.

Big ups to a fella who knows Vegas almost as well as he knows good beer!
Anyone who wants a big 4-0 of Mickey's is OK by me! Look forward to seeing you next week.

I love the new Tropicana. I love that it is still affordable. I love that it still has a link to it's Vegas history (unlike Flamingo where none of the original buildings remain and it's basically a caricature of itself). I love the Tiffany ceiling over the pit. I love that they still pay 3/2 on blackjack. I love almost everything about this place.
From a design standpoint, I love everything the Cosmopolitan has done. The chandelier bar, the colors, the bars, and the hidden pizza shop all work for me. The pits, however, don't work for me as the table minimums are a bit extreme. I'll still hang out here, but I don't really go here much to play.
M Resort would probably be my favorite hotel if it were on the strip. They have a fantastic buffet and reasonable minimums on all table games. Also, they have a bar with a ton of microbrews on tap that they will comp for your video poker play. Can't go wrong here.
I love Casino Royale for Craps. They have fun dealers on the tables, the minimums are low and the odds allowed are high. This is the best way to play craps. Also, the $1 beers at the bar aren't too shabby either.
Wynn is just quintessential Vegas elegance. It's still the top resort in my eyes as far as luxury goes. The casino is incredible, the disgn is spectacular, and I always enjoy my time at Wynn.
