My first trip to LV was group of guys, a cooler full of booze and a couple of sacks of botanicals. We stayed at the motor inn side of the old Sahara. Over the years, I have stayed at Binions, The Fronier, Bally's, The Westward Ho, the Riv, the Trop, The LV Hilton, the DI, and the Mirage. I saw Frank once and love the old school vibe of many of the lounges that still stand and older restaurants like Hugo's and Jubilee for brunch. The strip and Fremont to me are some of the most exciting and fun places to be on this earth. I hope this will continue for many years to come. IMO, the strip needs a serious buff and a shine. In the 80 and 90's a different vibe existed that I wish would return. Everyone who visits LV knows how to get a comapanion without some glue sniffing Honduran street urchin shoving a card in your face. Clean streets,an easy pedestrian flow and civilized people pushing "outrageousness" to the limit. That is what I remember and what keeps me coming back.
