It started out so well, like any new relationship, with fascination and infatuation. There was always great anticipation of the next visit, and each visit was too short. But Vegas, like a male in midlife-crisis, wants someone younger, richer, with more style. I only come around, now, for gatherings with family or friends. Then I fall back into old patterns and try to rekindle the old excitement. I know my way around, now. I've learned to cut my losses and get what I can. If Vegas shows any interest in a reconciliation, I will probably jump at it. Love is stupid.

I never would have been able to stay here if my mother hadn't racked up slot points, but it was great. The luxurious rooms are fun just to be in. I've always loved the Roman statuary and marble decor of Caesars Palace, and of course the Forum Shops are beautiful just to walk through. (I can't afford to shop there!) I ate at the buffet and also at the coffee shop, and they both have elegant settings and food as good as you'd expect. The buffet (Cafe Lago) also has a pianist, at least at the champagne brunch. My complaint, though, is that they make it difficult to use your comp points. It's a complicated system and you lose out if you don't know to charge meals to your room. And it was petty to try to charge me for momentarily picking up a disposable camera off the mini-bar. Still, staying at Caesars is a memorable experience.
Not fancy but has old-time style. Maybe the best diner on Fremont Street. Live pianists singing old standards at the snack bar in the back. They are great; don't forget to tip!
I stayed here once, but spent all my time at a convention, so I didn't get to appreciate it. I'll be staying again this week (June 2011). I think it beats the Golden Nugget for beauty. Love the buffet! Gorgeous setting, low prices, great food.
Nicer atmosphere than most; amazing pool. Major points for having Margaritaville adjacent. I also like the garden with the penguins, flamingos, swans, etc. And the Buffet is really pretty; it's one of the few on the Strip that I will go to, because of the waterfalls and tropical surroundings.
The rooms are nice and updated. Hurray for in-room coffemakers! I have made some good money on the slots, not major jackpots, but good. Just don't bother with the slots in the back. FQ has a nice gold-and-well-lit ambiance and is not too big. I like being able to look out over the casino from the coffee shop, which is much nicer than most. I'm still peeved that they're charging for valet parking, though.
