ShoutOuts

Good to see Mr. L found time in retirement to open up an account here at VT. Best of luck on the finals, Terry.

Fave Joints

ARIA

Beautiful casino, incredible architecture throughout CC, vastly improved service, great rooms, and one of the most visually stunning places in the city. After months of apathy, I can now say wholeheartedly that Aria is my absolute favorite.

Bellagio

One of the all-time greats and one of my personal favorites.

Wynn Las Vegas

With the recent changes in design, dining options, and staff, the formerly best resort in Vegas has taken more steps back than forward. Nonetheless, it's still one of the most gorgeous sights to behold in the world and one of the very best in Las Vegas.

Encore

Gorgeous interior design and untouchable service, but the recent change in Encore's direction has left me scratching (shaking) my head.

Monte Carlo

It may not be the most luxurious or visually appealing hotel, but given its almost free prices on rooms (if MLife Pearl or higher) and perfect location, Monte Carlo is a great option--and my personal favorite--for when I'm not willing to pay Wynn/CC/Bellagio prices. Rooms are just average (on par with TI, NYNY), the casino can be a bit dead on most nights, but the decor is refreshed and actually quite nice, the vibe is relaxing, and it's only a couple steps away from where you want to be.

Palazzo

While it has very nice and large standard rooms, a comfortable casino, and a plethora of dining choices, the Palazzo has the overall feel of an upscale shopping plaza (as Wynn said), not of a multi-billion dollar resort and casino in Las Vegas. It's just lacking the overall vibe and tiny little details that make Wynncore and Bellagio so special.
