Vegas is a great place. First trip was back in '78 at Caesars when I was 21 and after that, I immediately fell in love with the place. I'm happy to say that i'm a survivor of the 1980 MGM Grand Fire. Luckily I was not too badly injured. Had inhaled some smoke from the carbon monoxide and broke my wrist but I managed to escape with my then-girlfriend on a fire truck ladder. Fortunately, I was only on the 7th floor where the ladder could reach us. Amazingly earlier before the fire, I had gotten into an argument with the front desk because we received a room on such a low floor and I wanted a higher floor and the lady turned me down which is pretty incredible because, if we had gotten the higher floor, I probably wouldn't be writing this right now and the chances of escaping would have been very slim. I eventually got over the fire and still remained a good customer at the Grand even when it became Bally's but since the Bellagio opened, thats been my home since. I eventually got over the fire

I believe that the Bellagio is a far better resort than the Wynn, and not just because I own the Bellagio. The Bellagio is much more elegant and makes you feel like you're getting everything that you paid for. With the Wynn, you sometimes wonder where the $2.8 billion went. They're both wonderful resorts, but will fall short of the new standards set by ARIA. Oh, and I did not forget to add the old MGM; it was done purposely ;)
