I live here, but unlike most locals I go to the resort corridor pretty frequently, like a tourist who never leaves town. On the other hand, like a lot of locals I have a more cynical view of this town and how it works than you probably do.

Vegas Posse Shout Outs
Hi...I'm Steve Wynn and this is my ShoutOut to you. It's the only one I've ever signed my name to...
Duppy bom bom shout outs to the mega M - mad props and raised glasses!

My Review of Main Street Station
The casino isn't that hot (although if you consider it and the Cal one entity it gets better) but value is the name of the game here. And the turn of the century motif is charming.
My Review of Paris Las Vegas
If only more resorts had been built like this. Comes closes to matching that DisneyWorld-level of theming detail that pre-Palms hotels regularly promised and almost never delivered.
My Review of Wynn Las Vegas
A step sideways from Bellagio. The casino is great for a modern, heavily-appointed property but the restaurants vary and the resort end is beaten by it's chief competitor. Questionable design apart from the lovely tower suites.
My Review of LuXor
I love an architectural oddity like this. This building would be the most loved or most despised structure in any other city, but here it just kind of blends into the scenery.
My Review of Mandalay Bay
I guess this isn't exactly a great hotel by anyone's standards now, but it's the first place I stepped into and stayed at, and who doesn't appreciate their first resort? Also, THEhotel houses THEtoilet, the fanciest public restroom in Las Vegas.
My Review of Red Rock
It's the neighborhood casino. Whoop de doo. They are kind about sending out more opportunities to eat at their buffet than I could possibly stomach.
My Review of California
Joined at the hip with MSS. Consider them one off-Fremont downtown entity. MSS has the buffet, but the Cal's quaint little coffee shop still has a prime rib special so cheap that it's scary. No, really, I don't buy it out of fear that it's no good.
My Review of Stratosphere
I haven't had any great experiences at the Stratosphere, but I haven't had any bad ones either. The Stupak legend and that big honkin' tower make it noteworthy.
My Review of Sahara
Hotel of infamy, not worthy of one die. Recently sold, but under old management room service trays sat in hallways for weeks, the food options are inedible, and more than one giant bug was spotted on a three-night stay. Wouldn't wish the place on my worst enemy.

Few places in the US have such a high "dollars per square inch" rating. They sometimes look down at me as though I'm not fit to step into their hotel, but then again, I'm inclined to agree with them.
