Went there on a Wednesday night, and wow....what a party place! Body English was playing GREAT trance that night, and even though it was dark, it was a great nightlcub. One of the best I've been at.The casino area is loaded with rock memorabilia. Just walking around it was really cool. The edgy motif, the loud, but small casino, good music playing.....it all adds up to my kind of place! There was a live music room, called "Wasted Space" I believe, which had a decent rock/pop band playing, but was way too crowded. Could barely walk in the door...happy to take your $$$ cover charge though. grrrrr.
Go Go girls while you gamble, 'nuff said. The decor was modern and pleasant...my kind of style! Good music playing too! Too bad the minimums were so high!
One of finest places I have seen. Every detail is so intricate, whether its the architecture, pool, the conservatory, and even the check in counter, it's just gorgeous! I imagine it to be a very romantic place to stay at.Won $200 clear here as well on the slots. I NEVER win at slots, so I was thrilled!
Since I have nothing to compare it with, I was very happy. We got the cheap "deluxe" room (not a Go Room", only because mrsdoopey didn't care for it (...old fart). But the front counter lady was real nice, and gave us a 19th floor room, with a fantastic view of the Flamingo tropical area out back. The only problems with the room were rusty lighting lamps in the bathroom, and a toilet that never really had the gumption to flush. But everything was clean, and had decent beds. The casino was nice, but I didn't really gamble there. As with other Harrah's properties, it's kind of a rip, with the 6:5 on a natural, and $10 minimums. But it was nicely laid out, and fun to watch.Would stay there again to try the Go Room though ;)
This place is a lot fun for someone with my budget. I could get a lite beer and a hot dog for $3. There was a subway and a burger king inside for those who cannot afford the Wynn buffet, and I used my Flamingo (next door) Total Rewards card here. $5 Blackjack in to boot, it was a great place to gamble.
The concept of Dealertainers is a really great idea. If you are going to lose your money, you might as well do it with a friendly, entertaining dealer. I tried the Rockhouse in the front. It's a rocking bar up to around 9:30, and then it does it's best to draw people in using formulaic house/hip hop. Mostly just looky-loos checking it out.
