My relationship with Vegas started out as a cheap thrill, but every trip seems to be a step up and I'm liking where it's headed. I'm learning to love the classier side of Vegas. That being said, if I'm there for more than a day you'll still probably find me at Slots of Fun eventually.

Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino

I haven't stayed there, so this rating is for the buffet, the dealers (even though 1 deck black jack killed me) and because Penn

TI (Treasure Island)

A lot classier than what I expected from the disneyfied signs and outer motif. The linens and beds were wonderful, the buffet was good for the price and the blackjack dealers were great. Definitely will return.

LuXor

The LuXor is suffering from an identity crisis for sure, and the fact that it will forever be associated with Criss Angel is unfortunate, but it's a relatively pleasant place to stay. We got a great deal on a room and the beds were pretty decent, room was really clean and service was friendly. I like the billion tiny places to eat especially when it was late and we didn't want to leave the hotel. Meh.

Sahara

Used to be a favorite, but it went from a cool cheap option to just pretty gross. Last time I stayed there I realized would definitely be my last. Even the "non-smoking" rooms smell like gross old sweat and the sheets/beds are worse than a motel 8. The staff and service is as worn down as the rooms. The worst buffet I have ever had in my life (which I guess they closed down, thank goodness). If you want to go cheap, spend an extra 10 bucks and get a deal at the Luxor.
