Caesars Palace Absolut Vodka Suites

The last few days we've been combing through our hotel guide, updating some of the content and reassessing some of our older observations about various properties when I stumbled across the Absolut Vodka Suites at Caesars Palace.

I had absolut-ly no idea that these things existed... perhaps I missed the announcement, or the folks at Harrah's realized that these rooms were butt ugly and decided not to push them too hard. Who knows. Even if they're old, it's still worth taking a peek at again if you haven't already.

Anyways, Caesars Palace has six flavored Absolut Vodka suites, each one decorated to personify an individual flavor.

Ruby red grapefruit throw pillows. Red wicker chairs. A palm tree painted on the wall. $3-4k/night? Yikes!

This is the "Vanilla" room. The guy in the video (which is embedded below) says vanilla "vanillia" and "sauna" (which this room has) as "saowna." Here's a photo on Flickr

This is the "Citron" room. Citrus... lemon... yellow. Whoa this is bright.

This is the "Peach" room. The bed is a faux pool raft "floating" on painted water and water print carpet. There's even a pool steps style railing to help you get into the "drink."

There are two other Absolut Flavor suites as well (Raspberri and Mandarin), but they aren't in the video nor are they on caesarspalace.com.

Comments & Discussion:

You'll find the authentic Scandinavian "sowna" pronunciation of "sauna" employed quite a bit in the godforsaken tundra states that attracted the Nordic settlers. After I get a few drinks in me I often lapse back into my Northern Minnesota patois (ya, I'm from da range) and let slip a "sowna" instead of "sana;" I've heard Wisconsonites and Yoopers do the same.

I don't know WFT is up with "vanillia," though.

i hope liquor comes with the room.

Yoopers?

Yooper: People (and I use the term in the loosest possible sense) from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. UP'er, Yooper. Not to stereotype, but I believe that all who have encountered them can agree that they are a unique bunch.

Are you sure all of those are separate suites? From what I've seen and heard it was one suite with 7 different "flavored" rooms that Caesars Palace made as a promo for Absolut and then kept after the promo was over.
