Contractor Perini Corp claims that they can fix the shuttered Harmon Hotel for about $2M bucks. Finishing, opening and operating it? Priceless.

Obviously MGM doesn't want to have this mess - opened or closed - on its books and pushed out the always amusing Gordon "Jar Jar" Absher to call Perini's solution "a phantom fix."

I stand by my assertion that all Harmon needs is some drywall, Sears Weatherbeater white and a bus load of guys hanging outside the nearest Home Depot parking lot. See?

I wandered into Harmon by accident at the Aria opening...I followed a construction worker in...walked around for a few minutes, then went on to Aria. Looks like it hasn't changed much.

2 million? There is no way that Harmon could be completed and improved for that low a number. Just knock the thing down and take the loss.

Have no fear, I have plans for the Harmon. I plan on buying it and turning it into a Hunger Games arena for celebutards captured while "hosting" nightclubs. Just imagine the money we can make selling PPV while Kim K tries to drown Jwoww (whoever the fuck that is) in a pool of douche.

I don't think the Harmon tower is the only building constructed in recent years that may have fatal design errors.

From what I have heard from people who actually built some of these buildings, is that it is really the wind and a lot of the other extreme desert weather elements that folks should be worry about... not the earthquakes.

Now that's a scary thought.
