With their nightclubs expected to reach capacity on New Years week, Wynn Las Vegas has added a special consolation prize event for those who can't get in to the big parties.

The party features "butler passed appetizers" and "interactive tasting galleries" from the Wynn dining collection, open bar, "dancing to tunes by DJ Rodney" and Dick Clark's Post-Humous Rockin' Eve "New Years Eve celebrations from around the world" on the big screen.

Price $500.

Worth every penny...I can easily eat $500 worth of "Citrus Cylinder on a Mirliton" in, like, an hour!

1) What is an interactive tasting gallery? What can be interactive about eating?
2) What is gala style seating?
3) I'm no longer worthy of Wynn.

Wow, that's worth...like...maybe 125, a best? I can get much better deals down hree in DC that include live music from national known acts. Grouplove is playing one of the big hotel parties out here.

Total fail. How the hell does that even work? Do you get to go to each restaurant, do you choose one, or what?

does interactive tasting involve eating food from someone else's mouth? gala style i believe is sit wherever you can and like it. i can think of a better use of $500

Do they really say "butler passed appetizers?" Sounds like they are pre-eaten and crapped out.

I'll pass my own appetizers, thank you.

i'm not sure what the big deal here is.. seems pretty standard.. if you were planning a wedding reception around here with similar food/dj/ect that would be at least 150-175 a head maybe more if there is good booze. and thats not on nye.. so on nye and in vegas $500 doesn't sound too outlandish.
