Caesars Palace Replaces Classic Carpet!
» filed under Las Vegas tagged: caesars palace casino carpet comments: 9
Here's a shocker... Caesars Palace is replacing the classic "Emperor" Romanesque carpeting with some brown earthy looking stuff.
Wow. The brightness certainly does pop... but I'm not so sure that I find it aesthetically "right."
Some detail view of the area around the table games.
I wonder what the deal is with the "O"s.
The thoroughfares have a cybernetic space Borg holodeck with ghosted "O"s fading into the background.
Freaky. Not sure if this works... but interesting nonetheless.
Big thanks to velvet voiced JohnH and his friend Mr. Giggles for sharing the photos.

Agreed, not sure this was the right answer, but I won't miss the old design, either. I wonder if the Os are sort of an abstract nod to that previous carpet.
It was done under direct order of Emperor Obama.

It's elegant and gorgeous. Who is Mr. Giggles?
Caesars has a seniors only pit? It's lit up brighter than a bingo hall!
seems kind of rustic
Fresh from Aria, repurposed carpet. That Loveman sure knows how to stretch a nickel.
Does anyone even consider keeping to a theme? How hard would it be to have some sort of nod to Roman or classic design. This new design looks good, but CP still has enough remaining themed elements that it's worth playing along.
MGM has also repleced its carpet, getting rid of the bright red with black trim design, with MGM lions as part of the motif, switching it out for a new design that looks like it belongs at Wynn..
I love it. I think it is a good blend of modern and classical. The ovals are probably a nod to the pit ceiling oval.
