Sexy Delano Las Vegas Design Is Dutch Mid-Century Modern

The transformation of THEhotel into Delano Las Vegas appears to have turned a corner. Recently, MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren stated on a recent earnings call that design work had been completed and a plan was in place to finally get the renovation and rebranding project underway.

The first steps? MGM has taken control of the Delano Las Vegas website and replaced it with a very corporate looking place holder landing page designed to harvest email addresses. Morgans hotel group still operates their own Delano website.

But look at that sexy Dutch mid-century modern reproduction chair. Simply gorgeous piece of furniture that goes well with whisky and women. If this is a style cue harbinger for the coming Delano, count me in as a fan. The Banksy book seems forced, however.

I adore the carpet. Playful hexagonal diamonds in a color that pops the wood in the chair in the right warm tone. Subtlety in a room is a good thing and I'm liking what I see here.
