The Downtown Grand hotel and casino is trying to jump start their casino marketing program by giving away a brand new Tesla Model S this summer.

During the Summer Spectacular Giveaway, players will earn 1 entry into the Tesla Model S drawing for every 1000 points they earn. The program starts THIS SUNDAY - June 1, 2014 - and runs until the drawing is held, Saturday September 13th, 2014.

Odds of winning are roughly 1 in 8 - the VT staff plus you and some guy who happened to wander in looking for the Mob Museum and accidentally signed up for a players card.

Big thanks to JohnH and MikeE for the tip and wit.

Of course whose got the $$$ to cover the taxes on this if they win it?

"Odds off winning are roughly 1 in 8 - the VT staff plus you and some guy who happened to wander in looking for the Mob Museum and accidentally signed up for a players card." ...zing.

As soon as I win it , I'll sell it and go back to the bjack table...

Dibs.

Earn entries for 3 1/2 months? Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and/or Coconut Creek have given away Teslas, but it was a month promotion. If Downtown Grand can't keep up with regional locals casinos, they're in trouble.

If I win it I'll need to ship it back to SoCal since it won't make it there on a charge.
